Fantastic dinner with six of us. Started with drinks on the rooftop. Then tomahawk steaks in the main dining room. Everything was perfect. From service to bread and the steak was wonderful. Recommend this place for romantic dinners as the view is fab. As well...as special social events. Not suitable for kids. This is an adult space.More

The place is good for romantic meals with a loved one as it has great views of the harbour. The place is cozy and offers a nice ambience. The food was okay. Cocktails were good.

Alto is a lovely place at the heart of Causeway Bay. With unparalleled panorama of Victoria Harbour, it serves a nice executive lunch menu at very reasonable price. Buffalo chicken is crispy and appetizing with a mild hot sauce. Hamachi ceviche is fresh. Risotto is...light. White chocolate panna cotta is my favorite. Service is intimate and careful to details. In contrast with so many overpriced and overrated restaurants nearby, this is the choice that lives up to expectations.More

The whole experience was chaotic . The seating arrangement was a mess. We had to wait for the table we booked and got a table at the middle of the corridor to the entrance . Got kicked on the chair the whole night because of...people and waiters passing by. The food was bad. Soup was salty and cold. The dessert(ice cream came melted when we had not even finished our main course. The presentation of the food was hardly living up to its price tag either. The whole meal was a great disappointmentMore

The food and service were bad. We waited for our table which we booked with no service or assistance. When the soup arrived it was cold and salty which tasted more like gravy. Manager insisted noone made any compalint so our suggestions were not valid....The desserts arrived vefore we finished our main course (we were doing the 2nd seating ao no urge with retuening table) a. But as shown in picture some of the desserts arrived melted..food is horrible and so did the service. waswhitasted likeMore

This is my usual go to place if I want to catch up with friends or have a quiet meal with my spouse. I know the food and service won’t disappoint and the view is good. I also like the seating arrangement which I feel...has more space than the most restaurants in Hong Kong. However I was very disappointed at my recent visit during lunch. The restaurant was less than half full but they put all their customers at one section of the restaurant- this it felt more crowded than needed. Obviously, I’m going to think twice before I visit again.More

Went to this bar for drinks after dinner, we were not shown to a table so we sat down at an empty table that was yet to be cleared. After going to the bar to order drinks (they don't come to you to take orders)...we waited for our drinks. The barman came and served our drinks placing them amongst the dirty glasses from the previous occupants....we asked if he could clear the table for us, something which should have been obvious and unnecessary to ask, and he simply replied, 'that's not my job' and walked off. We asked another person and they replied the same thing, the glasses were never cleared the whole time we were there...More

Comfortable environment, light and airy with good views in the heart of CWB. Multi course lunch sets are great in value and start at ~$200. Haven’t had dessert so can’t comment. Coffee is so so, so would recommend heading to any of the small newly...opened coffee shops nearby (eg. Coffee corridor, East Latte)More

I have been here a few times for dinner but it has been a year or so since my last visit. I remember the steaks and service were pretty good so me and two other friends went there again. The current menu doesn’t offer too...much choices but we chose two set of Rib-eye, one is British dry-aged Hereford and Australian 270 day aged M2+. Also ordered Lamb Barnsley Chop along with three different sides. After we got seated, a waitress carried a large bowl of breads for us to choose from. Although it’s nice to get to choose, the bowl will go around different tables, it is better to have a cloth to cover them a bit (during this COVID period) While we are getting started on our breads, and there is only one set of butter / butter knife for the 3 of us. A waitress was then preparing our dining utensils and took away my knife which I said I would like for putting on the butter so she kindly gave it back. During the pandemic, it is better not to share dining utensils. Shortly after, another lady came over and said the red wine we wanted is unavailable and took away my knife again. I said can I have it back for putting on butter. She rudely said this is for the appetizer, the butter knife is there. 😐 While there are 3 of us, why do we need to take turn to use the one butter knife?! If you know my knife is for appetizer, why can’t you go grab another butter knife instead of blaming the guest?? Anyway that lady was being rude and pushy later on as well; she really needs to learn some hospitality. Regarding the food, the Australian Rib-eye was tender and juicy. The British dry-aged Rib-eye was okay as well and portions are good for the price. The side dish - Baked Cauliflower in cheese was good. Overall, this restaurant isn’t what it used to be. It’s not a welcoming vibe. I wouldn’t recommend it as there are lots of other better restaurants in cwb.More

Be extremely careful with the current team working on the roof. Was there on the night of April 22nd with a group of colleagues (more than 30 people) and few of them got charged more drinks than actually ordered/served during rounds later in the night....This happened several times so it was definitely done intentionally thinking that we would be too intoxicated to notice. Had to strongly argue to finally get a refund. Also very tricky 1HKD "donation" added on the bill without telling the customer. When asking the staff about it was told that it was set that way in the system. Happy to donate 1HKD but at least tell me what cause I am supporting.More

We walked in on a rainy night and was greeted very nicely by the host , there’s not a bad seat in this restaurant, we were given the menus , we haven’t eaten there since Covid has ravaged the hospitality industry and the new improved...a la carte menu looks fantastic great selection of steaks and sharing items , prices are great for the location, however we decided to go for the chefs tasting menu and added in an extra main. Dishes were outstanding beautiful presentation but the taste out weighs everything, the baby chicken was phenomenal! Desserts were so nice . Will be back again thanks for the hospitality chef Gareth and manager Berrias!More
