I've been here twice and it's never disappointed me. Both the food and the atmosphere are fancy but chilled. Not too expensive for the quality you get. Love everything but specially the 1,000 yrs duck eggs & silken tofu appetizer and the desserts. Oh, and the allfamous hot custard molten and piggy BBQ buns!

Food was really good, especially the buns. Service was brilliant, everyone was very smiley and friendly but one guy (can't remember his name) looked after us very well. Credits to him. Would definitely come back!

Yum cha is a western decor, trendy fusion dimsum restaurant with lots of interesting new morsels to try in addition to the standard yum cha staples. Presentation is good, service is quick and food is good. There are lots of young and trendy eating here, as opposed to large families in the usual dimsum places. I love how they made... More

I fell in love with this restaurant after I saw numerous photos on Instagram so, of course I had to visit here during my trip in Hong Kong! Ordering process is fun and the service was super fast. The food is delicious, so beautiful and lovely presented! It is slightly overpriced though. I highly recommend to pay a visit to... More

We went here specifically for the custard bun. It was a treat, both for the eyes and tummy as the bun is both fun to eat and tasty at the same time, unlike some other restaurants who sacrifice on flavour. Other dim sum item was good as well, except for the lemongrass beef. Avoid that and you'll be fine. In... More

The dim sum was ok, average standard for Hong Kong and double the price (at least). We were happy to arrive during happy hour and ordered the 'buy one get one' drink. We specifically asked for the second free drink to be brought out later. The waitress brought all 6 drinks at once and told us 'sorry we pour already'.... More

We arrived tonight without a reservation, but were warmly welcomed and taken straight to a table. Ordered some yum cha and all dishes were amazing. From the gorgeous bowls to the innovative and quirky dumplings, enjoyed every mouthful and couldn't have asked for better service or a more delicious dinner! What's not to love! The restaurant itself is a lovely... More

No hassle at all. Went to the restaurant earlier than our reservation but still we were entertained accordingly. All our orders went out from the kitchen fast! We enjoyed every dish and will surely come back. Will always keep in mind that Chope is very helpful!

So glad that they have a vegetarian menu and was very satisfied with dim sum and regular dishes. Our favourite was the custard buns!

Delicious dim sum presented in cute and fun format. Expensive but worth it to see the smile on my wife's face as we dined on the delicious food. Whimsical piggy cha sui baos, doggie looking lap cheung baos, hot custard baos that ozze hot custard when poked near the nose, what more can you ask for? One of the most... More

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
