I think because of the Japanese chief of Mito, the quality of foods could keep up to the good quality.

The hospital lighting and uncomfortable seats would be acceptable if the bill did not give me a near heart attack. Bring big $$$$$$$ if you want to have sushi in Palau at this spot.
We went there to have some fresh sushi. Located on an island it shouldn't be too difficult to find. Palau is very expensive restaurant - wise and this place is no exception. We chose to order two different sushi sets as the individual sushi price...would have been too high for our budget. Some pieces were good, however, some had developed smell. I ignored the fact and ate it anyway. Unfortunately I had to spend the night on the toilet afterwards.More
I went to Mito Sushi with my friend for dinner in Dec 2018. Staffs were friendly with very warm welcome when we arrived, like most of Japanese restaurant. A loud “Irashaimase” caught everyone’s attention. The waitress escorted us to one of the tables close to...bar and present the English, Japanese & Chinese menu with pictures. You may order the sushi combo from the menu, which is easier, or order your favorite sushi from what they printed on your table mat. We ordered sushi combo A, oyakudon, yakisoba, DEEP FRIED TOFU & 2 iced tea. I think the sushi was ok. Tuna sushi was amazing. Tuna was thick and fresh. Beside the tuna sushi, there was no other surprise. Oyakudon and yakisoba was average. Both of them were similar to the bento boxes I ate on the diving boat. The DEEP FRIED TOFU we ordered was served by agedashi tofu. It was way below average. Iced tea was too sweet for me to drink. I had to add ice and wait for the ice to melt. On top of that, we paid 76.00 plus for the meal. I didn’t see or taste the value of that.More
Food was Ok. But watch the menu price versus what shows up on your bill. Our biggest issue: no soap in the bathroom. Became an issue when we saw the chef who handmade our sushi use the same bathroom and return to work. Maybe there’s...a secret soap dispenser? Let’s hope.More
The place located below the taj and was crowded with local And tourist Japanese. Good traditional sushi with fresh Palau fish
We happened to have our last dinner in Palau at this lovely Japanese restaurant. The staff were helpful and kind and the food was tasty and of great value! This restaurant is frequently visited by local Japanese, so it is guaranteed that dishes are cooked...in the authentic Japanese style! We love how this restaurant is run by the charming Japanese female owner, the chef and the team of waitresses! Will come here again in future :)More
So we desired to have a sushi one night and we picked Mito. After 20 minutes and 112 usd we left very desipointed. This is for tourists !!!! The worst expariance we had in our 11 days in koro. We go every day to local...Restorante called CARP - every person who lives here knows it and they say - this is number one - good food and cheap :)More
Love it!!! love the food, they r fresh, clean and yummy. The Japanese lady was very kind to us. I love the deep fried eggplant, tofu with miso sauce....
Authentic sushi and Japanese food, although over-priced. Fish was very fresh and plentiful, but if you're used to creative or fusion style sushi, you might be disappointed. What irritated us though was that the otherwise courteous server kept pushing on us what she thought we...should have. She wouldn't let me read the menu at first and kept insisting I just look at photos at the back. Then we ordered vegi tempura and she insisted we have the mixed tempura. We corrected her twice and said we only wanted the vegi tempura. We were served and charged for the mixed one.More
I don't love sushi, but my husband does. He thought the food was pretty good and would go back. They even had a chicken option for me that I also thought was pretty good. It would defiantly go back.
The restaurant is downtown, is offers great food! Sashimi is fresh, tasty. We also tried different combinations offered in the menu. Personnel is very nice and fast. It is a place to consider while visiting Palau!
Nice small japanese restaurant, the fish is fresh and good, and the staff is very friendly. We went there twice during the week :)
The staff there are very friendly and the sushi tasted fresh and yummy! Too bad they were out of sashimi….
We stayed in Palau for 6 nights, had Japanese food 4 nights and Mito was by far the best! Really fresh sashimi and sushi prepared in an authentic way. The guy owner was super friendly and we asked for his owner's recommendation - oh my!...The bonito sashimi (forgot the actual name of the dish) is a must-try, it's bonito slightly grilled on the outside, sliced and served in a special sweet soy sauce topped with ginger and scallion, heavenly!!! I could do with another plate any time. Btw, the photo above is not one of the actual place. Mito has a small entrance beneath 'The Taj' (?).More
