Each and every time we are in Istanbul, we come here. For the first time we appeared here in 2018, and since then we never miss the chance to come here. Cuisine, wine pairings, staff and especially waiters (hey, Hakan bey! You were the one...who created a splendid effect on our first visit) are making the very best mix! Never miss the chance to take a couple of cocktails as an aperitif and digestive. Other reviews have plenty of details for precise meals - just believe me, each and every meal, dessert, cocktail and wine is worth trying!!! I do hope all that coronavirus will be soon over - to come here again!More

This was my second visit here and was more impressive than the first one. While Chef is creating wonders at the back, Hakan Bey is taking you to a culinary journey through Anatolia with his wine and food knowledge. Best fine dining can sound too...ambitious considering a city around 20 million people. However concept is quite new in Turkey compared to Europe and this is my experience. Yeni Lokanta is definitely the place I will visit again and again in future. Hope I am getting the names right. Special thanks to Chef Mustafa and the restaurant manager Uğur Bey.More

Will rate it as Good for tourists - because modern twist of Turkish food, nice interior with a buzz of fine dining which hints at the rather fine dining price. Well dressed food, sharp service - professional, rather military but extremely prompt. food, well presented...and creative twists. However generally too salty on almost every dish for me, - beef dumpling, octopus, especially the monkfish. Beef Tatare wasn’t particularly good... for raw beef a very fresh good cut is necessary. I like my food fresh without need for over-flavouring. Prices on the high side ...wine is something like 59-63 TL for a glass.More

I was recommended this restaurant on a recent trip to Istanbul so I decided to give it a try... Huge disappointment! We paid over 140 euros for dinner for two and it was really not worth it. I do not mind spending money in a...good restaurant, but I found VERY hard to justify this level of price for a mid-level restaurant with average food. The service was acceptable, but not remarkable either. On the night we were, there there were absolutely no locals, only tourists, which should already have given me the hint that it was a tourist trap. I would certainly avoid this place. There are plenty of interesting restaurants in the area to choose from. Never again!More

Yeni lo‘expensive!!! Expensive, scam, only English speakers .... only tourists in search of the „unique“. Mostly a place for millenials. Food not particularly good. Rushed service they want to Have you finish the bottle Of wine quickly. No locals To be seen. Americans and Australians...Playing to be foodies.More

We went Yeni Lokanta for a dinner with friends. Interior design, the lights and general atmosphere is quite like good European restaurants. Staff is very proffessional and quite helpful. They were quite helpful to foreign visitors and their service and explanations of each food was...very nice to hear. Food is traditional Turkish plates that are served in a modern way. In general, I am pleasantly suprised with the taste and the modern execution. However, maybe I love the traditional way of some food, on some orders I thouht they tried too hard. The pricing is above average compared to other same class restaurants but also not one of the most expensive ones a you can visit in Istanbul. In short, I recommend this restaurant if you are a tourist and trying the Turkish food for the first time (10/10). If you are a Turkish person, the restaurant is still great and suprise you with their modern interpretation of the foods. (8/10)More

Incredible classic turkish dishes reivented. Absolutely stunning. The bread is cooked in the oven, the fresh celeriac is a blessing and the slow cook beef is to die for.

Fabulous home cooked food, using fresh ingredients. Monkfish papiotte was very good as was the baked Alaska. Staff were very attentive. Definitely worth a visit when in Istanbul.

From starters to main courses everything is great, I loved them all. Ambiance is not my priority but is also nice. Keep in mind to make reservation before going.
