It's the best South Korean cuisine cafe/restaurant in Bishkek. I highlighted South Korean cuisine because most of other "Korean" cafes actually serve North Korean or some combination of North Korean and Soviet Korean cuisine.
The interior is nice. The service is great if there are not many customers, but gets worse with increase of people. The food is great. Very delicious and traditionally cooked.

From outside it does not look like a restaurant. It is right next to the Izumrud shopping center at the eastside on Chuy. Inside it is like a traditional Korean restaurant. They have a menue in English.
I had sweet and sour pork as a main dish. They serve side dishes with different kinds of vegetables and other food. You can choose which one you like. Though I had a 'small' portion it was almost too big for me. It tasted delicious especially the seaweed and apple in the sauce.
Pricing was not very clear to me. The main dish cost 400 som. With two side dishes I paid 600 som in total. Good value for what you get.

Kimchi jjigae (soup) with beef meat. Outstandingly delicious. Mouth watering with every spoonful. The right amount of spice heat. Makes you want to return to the bowl for some more with every bite. Relaxing atmosphere with options for private rooms. Clean environment. Service is fast.

I've tried Korean food once before, prepared by my friends, so there isn't much I can compare to.
However, I feel like there's no need.
Is this the top Korean restaurant in the world? Probably not.
But, it was absolutely delicious, and I enjoyed everything I tried. Even the things that I typically do not at all enjoy (such as boiled zucchini) were delectable!
We ordered a double portion of soup, two portions of bbq, and some beer and tea. Banchan (sides) were complimentary. All this for a company of 3 had us completely stuffed, carrying left-overs, and about 1500 soms under. Quite a good deal, in my opinion.
My only issue, in fact, is that the restaurant itself could use some new furnishings, menus, etc., as it looks like they've been open for quite a few years, and the place looks a bit worn out. But if a little grime or a cigarette-ring-burn on the table doesn't phase you, then prepare for nothing less than amazing.

Who on earth would expect eating Korean food and pork in Kyrgyzstan? Getting bored of the local food, Cafe Ken Bok Kun appeared at the right time. Food is average (most dishes we order were pretty much the same taste) but it is the best homesick remedy for North-East Asians.
For those small eaters - order less! Adding up the small side-dishes you'll end up with great amount of food.

Great South Korean food AND they have pork AND the food is spicy!
On Chui, number 30, not on the street but in a kind of Korean shopping centre just parallel.
As good as any Korean I have had elsewhere (Seoul and Paris and Astana and Brussels).
Try it. And the staff speak REALLY GOOD ENGLISH!

This is a steady contender among the best places to sit down with friends over some good Korean food and beer in Bishkek. Their menu doesn't really change that much, but why mess with a good thing? And the place is a bit far from the city center, but usually worth it, especially on cold Bishkek winter evenings when you want some spicy kimchi soup to warm you up.

The food here was the standard korean you get in Central Asia, yet a bit pricey in a strange location.

The place looks unassuming from the outside. If you were not familiar with this place, you probably wouldn't guess its a restaurant. But don't let the exterior fool you. Quite pleasant inside. There are also private rooms with low tables.
Meals are accompanied by a selection of around 6-8 small side dishes. Even though they are all small, it adds up and you end up with a decent amount of food.
Service is great, friendly and helpful staff. I've been back number of times, and will certainly be going back again.
