WTF just happened?? If craft beer is meant to be like that count me out. Rubbish, flat beer. I chewed my way through the pale ale and the IPA. Is beer meant to be flat? The price was rediculous. The most expensive beers I have...drunk here in kyrgyzstan. Maybe I'm not cut out for craft beer?More

Honestly, this was the best beer I've ever had. I had the pineapple and the cherry stout. When you go there, you need to remember that you are in Bishkek, the other reviewers on here are real beer snobs. This was high quality beer; rate...it based on location not whether or not it matches up to beer you would find in Europe. Great ambience and really nice staff.More

I heard about the history of this pub-craft brewery (it was opened by two local women who liked craft beer). I have tried 2 sorts of craft beer they had available (IPA, Stout) but I was not impressed by the quality. I have tried various...kinds of Russian and global craft beer and I honestly think that the quality of Save the Ales beer could be improved. The food is expensive but good. This bar is really good (with awesome hipster ambience) and lively during summer when the patio can be used. I visited pub in deep winter in January.More

We only visited one friday night, but had a lovely evening, with delicious food, decent beer and a cosy atmosphere with live music in their outside patio / beer garden. Probably you will get cheaper food in other places, maybe also more traditional, since it's...a relaxed place with a backpacking / traveller vibe to it - but for us it was just the right place at the right time.More

Visited early evening midweek so not surprised about the lack of atmosphere. Decent tasting beer although the delivery was questionable - too much gas. A little hipster for our tastes and definitely not cheap.

I dropped in here on a rainy afternoon and enjoyed a nice chat and some good beers. The fruit beer on offer at the time didn't excite me at all, but the lighter beers were really good - I had a wheat beer and a...pale ale if I remember correctly, both very palatable - unfortunately the stout wasn't on at the time (I meant to go back for it another day but ended up running out of time before my flight home). Free wifi, no problem charging my tablet, fun music - really not bad for mid-afternoon when many bars have no vibe at all.More

i was there only for one drink so i am not sure this review really does them justice. I was at save the ales on a friday night - most patrons at save the ales were expats or travellers as far as i noticed. Prices...were on the fairly high side compared to other places. that said this is a home brewery. I did like the ambience quite a bit. Outdoor garden et al.More

Great place slightly off the main city center but still within walking distance. Atmoshphere is chilled, beer is super tasty and... chilled, too! I chose some thai meal which was great value for money considering its size and delicious taste.

Good food, good beer. They even have cider on the menu now (perhaps it has been on the menus a while. I do not live in Bishkek so only visit Save the Ales occasionally) Chilled out atmosphere. Great place for when I missing Britian.

Prior to my business trip to Bishkek I thought I'd check out eating/drinking places near my hotel and fortunately came across 'Save The Ales'. As a fan of real ales, this was high on my list of places to try out - and I wasn't...disappointed. My 4 colleagues and I had a wonderful time sat outside in the sunshine sampling and enjoying the beers on offer. Brewed by the lady owner, the selection of 8 craft beers was amazing. This is a real gem of a place and most definitely worth a visit. We didn't eat there so I can't pass comment on the food, but what we saw being served looked good! Enjoy!!More

Kyrgyzstan is not famous for its beer. All the beer you can find in stores is not of a good quality. This place offers a solution. A variety of craft beer to suit different tastes. Keep in mind that craft beer is not for everyone...and you may not understand the whole excellence of the ale you drink :) P.s. the place is next door to Thai restaurant with nice food.More

Came here with local friends I met last month. The beers are good - had the tasting tray. The IPA and dark beer are my choice. The ambience here is cool. Will come back when I am in Bishkek next.
