Chilled out dining and made welcome from the outset with attentive, friendly staff Fancied vegetarian for a change and not disappointed. Five different dishes were selected, local red wine and desserts to finish. Well worth a visit.

This restaurant serves local Vietnamese cuisine. The food is simply delicious and very affordable. The price of each dish is displayed on the menu so you can go through it before placing your order. In addition, the local beer is quite cheap. During our four...More

Ate here every night during my time in Ho Chi Minh! Food is delicious especially the seafood. Give the lemongrass tofu a try! Beer is really cheap here (12k) so better to enjoy it here than at more expensive bars!

Recommended this from our hotel, we sat at the front to people watch on the street. For our first night in HCMC, it was lovely, the food was good and a lot of choice. Relating to other posts: the ladies toilet was out of order...More

You have to go and it at Five Oysters when in HCMC!!! Their dishes are absolutely delicious and we definitely recommend the oysters and their sautéed morning glory with garlic. We ended up eating here twice it was so good.

I have been coming to Five Oysters for the past several years on my trips to Vietnam. The food is normally pretty good. On this trip I have noticed a considerable decline in both food and service. When you walk in a server just points...More

Simply great! Tried both Oysters w/wasabi, fresh spring rolls w/shrimp and fried tofu w/lemon grass - all dishes very fresh and tasty! Prices are very low, both on food and drinks! 12k dong for a beer is hard to beat!

This could be said that they offer best pork, still it is not that exactly the best tho. The sauce of the pork was horrible. Recommend for cheap foods!

Five Oysters Restaurant proposes an authentic and fine Vietnamese cuisine, especially seafood. It is located in the busy Bui Vien St. but not in the noisy part of this backpacking street. You can choose a seat in front of the resto to watch people walking and the traffic or a table inside to dine in the cozy dining space. Since the resto owner's hometown is Long Hai beach where is famous for seafood and oysters, you can find seafood and other local food here really fresh. Not like amost other restaurants in backpacking area which are owned by foreigners, this resto is 100% Vietnamese. Check out this place if you 'd like to try a True Vietnamese kitchen in Saigon.
