We were a group of 14 and were accommodated easily. The manager of the restaurant is extremely friendly and very eager to serve. The food is delicious and definitely best in Hanoi. The staff is courteous and were quick to serve. We had many vegetarian and non vegetarian appetizers and main course dishes and were exceptional. The deserts were delicious. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or living in HaNoi and looking for Indian food. Only one issue against is location far from downtown and taxi ride through heavy traffic.

The best and genuine Indian food in Hanoi

I booked airbnb with family near westlake in Hanoi and searched for nearest Indian restaurant. We went there for dinner on first day and loved it so much that couldn't resist visiting Dalcheeni for all the next days. Authentic Indian taste with so many food options including for vegetarians. We also packed food for 2 days from Dalcheeni before going for 2 days cruise trip to Halong Bay. The service is fabulous. I got a friendship with the host Shaun who took care of our family special food needs with great Indian hospitality. We also packed the mixed pickle made by his chef which was mouth watering. I had tried many Indian restaurants in Hanoi in my last visits but I found Dalcheeni to be the best!

Exceptional customer service and even better food.

We loved our chicken curry and masala curry - both were packed with flavour and exactly what we felt like. When I told the manager I wouldn't share the Ras Malai dessert with my partner because it was too delicious, he brought a complimentary one just for him. The manager is very attentive and has great recommendations if you aren't sure what to order. The best Indian food I've had in Hanoi by far.

A great discovery

What a great surprise! Everything was top notch from the food to the friendliness of the staff. The manager on site (Shawn) made some good recommandation allowing me to discover new indian dish that i d never try by myself such as those indian dumplings! Delicious and good ratio quality price. The best Indian restaurant i have tried in Hanoi so far. Will definitely come back. Ps for those who don't feel like going to a restaurant lately, they do home deliveries as well.

Delicious food and great service

We came here as a party of 5, on a weekend and we had a lovely meal. The portions were big and the food was delicious. The staff were really friendly, they looked after us and were keen to talk about the food - ingredients and origins. My favourite dish was the paneer makhani. Decent price as well. The premises was clean and tidy and it wasn’t too busy. Would definitely come again should I find myself in Hanoi again. Keep up the good work guys!

The best Indian food we've ever eaten!

My boyfriend and I went to Dalcheeni last night after reading the positive reviews online and honestly, we weren't disappointed. The decor of the restaurant is amazing, the service was second to none and the food was delicious. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - we weren't sure what to order, and the staff tailored a couple of dishes specifically to our tastes and spice threshold. The food itself was absolutely delicious (the best Indian food we've had) and they got everything spot on. All of the dishes do add up in terms of price, but honestly it was worth every penny and not too dissimilar in price compared to other non-Vietnamese style restaurants in the city. We will definitely be back again, I'm sure this place will become a staple for us now. Go and give them a try, I'm sure you won't regret it!

Christmas meal

Had the pleasure of visiting here with a few friends for a Christmas dinner. The order had gone in ahead of time and the chef had prepared a lot of the food. The taste was excellent, everything was perfectly cooked and the service was fast. The manager was very friendly and took great pleasure explaining the dishes and method of cooking for each. The drinks were also very good. The price as well came out as a good value when the quantity and quality of food came together. Overall I would say if you are ever in Hanoi and feel the urge for a good Indian meal, you owe it to yourself to try it. 5 stars all round.

Best Indian food and service in Hanoi!

After travelling around Vietnam for 15 days, we wanted to enjoy an authentic Indian meal in Hanoi. We gave this restaurant a go and we were more than satisfied with the food and service. We ordered malai chicken tikka for starters and dal makhni, butter chicken for mains. The malai tikka was made to perfection. The dal came in a clay pot- extra points for that. The butter chicken was amazing too.. we were greeted by the owner and he made us feel special since it was my birthday.. highly recommend this restaurant. Will come back again when in Hanoi!

It’s one of the good Indian restaurants that serves authentic food at reasonable price. The partner of the restaurant also suggests right dish for the kind of taste we look for! Hygiene and comfort are good. It’s one of my favorite restaurants where I dine in most of the days during my stay in Hanoi during my monthly visits!

I have eaten in many indian restaurants and this is one of the best in town. Want to share something that they also have a very good service as some unexpected guests arrive and I ordered foos from here and Mr.Shaun take very good care of our delivery and food reached exactly within 30min as it was my request. Best Indian Restaurant in Hanoi

Brand new renovation with lake-side view. Food is very good. Their Tandoori Murgh (roasted chicken) & Biryani (clay pot rice) are my favorite dishes. Always bring my valued guest here. Very popular among expats especially Japanese & Korean community. In the end the manager even offered complimentary dessert because the one of the dishes I orders was not available. All thumbs up for this Indian restaurant, highly recommended.

Fantastic food, i was not expecting this quality food out of india. I order kadahi paneer ,tawa chicken with garlic naan. Food was amazing, well cooked with indian spices, in the end I ordered kheer which was too good. Manger shwan has very good sence of food, he will not help to suggest good food from the menu but also takecare of your taste. Overall satisfied experience with dalcheeni.

Amazing service and beautiful tasty food

I have eaten at Dalcheeni heaps, I love the quality and delicious food, huge menu and vegetarian options. You always get large portion sizes! My favourite is ordering directly with the restaurant and delivery because Ms Houng who delivers the food is amazing, she even took me to the ATM on her motorbike to get cash out, chatting the whole time. She’s represents the business so professionally and is so kind. Please try Dalcheeni, you won’t be disappointed!

Amazing Indian food and great host

The restaurant is located in middle of Tay and many restaurants close by. The staff was really caring and attentive. Food was really yummy. Shawn who is the manager of this restaurant goes out of the way to ensure the guests are enjoying their time while having food. The service was great! Will be going again.....

Love Dalcheeni!

I have been a reguar at Dalcheeni for over a year. And this is my absolute go to place for Indian food. It is right by the lake which makes the the dine-in experience more scenic. The menu is big and has a lot of variety and the staff always adapts the food according to you spice tolerance. If you're new to Indian food then Shawn (Restaurant Manager) is always available to support you to choose the items suitable for your palate. Needless to say that the food itself is amazing. Shawn has also helped me organise team lunches at the restaurant with a set course meal. i could have been happier. Thank you Dalcheeni and team.
