We were two couples who dined here on our hotel’s recommendation, and it was a good one. We had a variety of dishes, from samosas to two kinds of chicken and a couple of vegetarian dishes. All were excellent & they got the spice level exactly as ordered. The naan (we had garlic & cheese) was well prepared. They even had wine for our 2 wine drinkers, plus an excellent mango lassi. The service was fast, efficient & friendly. The decor is pleasant. This is very good Indian in a nice atmosphere!

Service is slightly slow and not all service staff understand names of dishes , so u need to wait for specific waiters to place order( it could be because they might be scaling up after the pandemic) . But the food is good and staff is courteous. It was awesome to get to eat dahi papdi chat in Vietnam.

As an addict of Indian meals, I was delighted to find this nice restaurant near Old quarter.
Everything is tasty and rich of flavors, prepared with attention and the manager Srimanta was of great fun (thanks for the Amrut single malt whisky). Definitely to try again

Breads were good….but curries I would say if you are up for preservative then please go ahead otherwise refrain from from going to this place…In the name of Indian food they are serving pre packed food from either MTR or Haldirams….
I am a regular traveller believe you me I can tell the difference, and apparently my wife also disappointed when she tasted the food….so please be careful if u plan…..

Had dinner at Zaika in Hanoi, a short walking distance from our hotel. The waiter mixed our order instead of Paneer masala, he brought Butter chicken. However the food is good, the ambiance is ok, but service needs attention. The second night we arrived late from Sa Pa and wanted to have a quick take away and arrived just past 21h00. Was advised that the kitchen is closed and was not able to get a take away. The second Indian restaurant in the area made a plan and served us.

My recent visit to Zaika in Hanoi's bustling Old Quarter left me with mixed feelings. The restaurant's prime location in the heart of the city is definitely a plus, offering a convenient spot to enjoy a meal while exploring the historic area.
However, when it comes to the food itself, I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed. While the menu promised a taste of authentic Indian cuisine, the flavors fell short of expectations. I found the dishes to be average at best, and I couldn't help but compare the offerings to other Indian restaurants in the vicinity that seem to do a better job in capturing the essence of the cuisine.
One particular letdown was the papad masala, which not only appeared old but emitted a rather unpleasant odor. It's unfortunate that this experience overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable meal. While the ambiance and location are definite draws, I would suggest that those seeking a truly memorable Indian dining experience might want to explore other options in the area that deliver on both taste and quality.

The food was just a barrage nothing special just another Indian restaurant presentation was poor, no passion in cooking either , chairs uncomfortable . The wash basin was clotted and staff has no clue about it . Food was very basic .

It’s centrally located around the Old quarter area.. service is good… prices are fair and the food is good. The Indian fare is tasty and authentic. Those of you who crave “Chindian”, (Chinese with an Indian vibe) will luv it here.

We opted to try our Zaika Indian Restaurant for one of our days post our 03 times visit to Maazi next door. To our luck, we found the Indian owner absolutely non-friendly and the Indian server there was extremely arrogant and Rude. It was like they passing us a message that they doing a favour by offering Indian food in Vietnam where such food is a concern. We just had papad as we had already ordered it and left the place. A very negative vibing place. In comparison Maazi just a lane ahead of Zaika is much higher and better in all terms - Friendly and understanding staff, place, ambience and of course Food options and quality of food.

I went to this restaurant a couple of times while visiting Hanoi. I was very impressed by the excellent food and service. I have tried many Indian/Pakistani restaurants in other countries but this one was the best of all of them. The staff was very friendly and really looked after each customer.
The manager is a lovely guy and we had a friendly chat. Next time, i visit Hanoi, i will definitely pop-in and enjoy the tasty and fresh food here. All the waiters were very respectful and friendly.

Ate here 2 nights in a row with my girlfriend. I had the tandoori chicken (amazing) , the following evening I had the chicken vindaloo. Make sure you have the butter naan,you won’t be disappointed! They also accommodated for my severe nut allergy and made the chef aware. Highly recommended.

Great authentic Indian vegetarian food. Veg Samosas were great. Front office staff pulled a rabbit out of the hat and arranged a last minute table for us. God bless. Table staff great service, Chandan in particular.

for vegetarian indians its a good restaurant. we had few starters and north indian veg food. the taste was good. the nans and rootis were great. the ambience was also decent. they served us in reasonable time. the owner was very cooperative guy. great experience.
