Wow this place was quite the find!
It was nice to have something different from Vietnamese food, and I do live a good curry.
The pepper fritters were spicy but tasty and we enjoyed a chicken byriani and fish curry with a garlic naan. Good portion sizes and packed with flavour

We found this restaurant near lake. Though small looking but having enough space to gather enough hungry people. Spacious and clean .
We took simple Daal roti in night , we found preparation delicious . But Gulab jamun are awesome . This is not packaged or canned like Gits or something but really delicious . You must order gulab jamun

Very Good Indian food at affordable prices. Its more like modified Indian Food for Vietnamese People. Not as spicy it a has to be, yet enjoyable. Great Location by the Lake. Have been visiting this place regularly.

Tried the Old Quarter location twice but won't return.
Service: indifferent to average (Khazaana & Namaste rate better)
Food: Could taste it hours afterward - did not digest well.
Atmosphere: Uncomfortable ...
I found Namaste & Khazaana are superior in food quality, price and atmosphere, And one can sit, enjoy post a post-meal chai or beer as these are actual restaurants and not Food stalls, as Foodshop is only that, at best.

Since there are so many good Indian restaurants popping up in Hanoi, I guess Foodshop 45 should up their game.. I tried 2 curries... chickpeas in Chana Masala were not cooked well. The mixed vegetable dish was tasteless. The restaurant ‘s location and atmosphere inside is pretty decent.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Hanoi. I love the chicken tikka masala. And they have really nice view. You can come here for meals or even just for some drinks

We arrived at our local AirbnB on Tuesday 2 Dec. Exhausted after a 20 hour flight. Sought the nearest recommended restaurant on TripAdvisor and it was Food shop 45.
Went there Tuesday, refused ice, salad and ate vegetarian (I'm not a vegetarian); went there Wednesday (for a take-away), getting brave now, ordered a chicken dish (phenomenal), Thursday night was so good we took friends there and had a selection of dishes , our friends loved the food, Friday 5 April was our last night and I went all out with the Prawn biryani, poppadoms and that salad again! Seafood beautifully cleaned and cooked, and I ate my salad this time! Waiting staff so friendly, lovely ambience, great food at very reasonable prices. We will be sad to leave Hanoi and Foodshop 45

Ordered in from here and I was pleasantly surprised as I was not expecting much. The food was good and you get value for your money. Check it out if you are in Tay Ho, they're open all day.

One of the best Indian restaurant I know in Hanoi, with an wide-open room on the ground floor, with a beautiful view of Lak Ho Tây, and an air-conditioned room upstairs. ! All dishes are excellent, they have a great draft bier, and prices are low for the quality? Only little, critic : the service is smiling, but tends to be slow.

Yes, i have tried most Indian restaurants in Hanoi. Each have their special style. Foodshop45 makes great samosas. It is in a very good location with views on to the lake near Tay Ho.

Superb find in Hanoi! Excellent curries - the best I have tasted outside of the UK. This is my favourite restaurant in all of Hanoi.
A wide range of dishes on the menu, and particularly good if you eat a lot of fish like me, or are vegetarian like my partner - plenty of choice!

Great restaurant for Indian food at very reasonable price in Hanoi, Vietnam. The service is fast and the food quality & taste are amazing. The Garlic naan and Tarka Dhal i ordered were delivered hot and exactly tasted as they should. The combo cost roughly 7 USD and the quantity of dhal was good enough for 2 people. Dont miss this place for nice Indian food.
