Travelling to Vietnam for the first time I struggled with adapting to the local food. We stumbled across PK Spice in the old quarter during a walk and felt a huge relief finding familiar food. The hosts are extremely helpful and always welcome new clients with a warm heart. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and I must say I was surprised to find such authentic tastes in the heart of Hanoi. They offer a number of Combo meals for those on tight budgets at very affordable prices (150000 VND) and you can also choose from the menu. The place was exceptionally clean and the staff very hygienic. We became regulars and no regrets.

Home away from home!
We are on two weeks long SEA trip which is going to conclude tomorrow. Craving for home cooked food, while strolling, we accidentally came across PK Spice Restaurant in Hanoi and decided to have our dinner here. We simply ordered daal-makhni and naan and it was simply awesome. One naan proved to be enough for two of us (see the size of the naan in the picture). The owner of the restaurant is from Peshawar and was very warm and complemented our meal with masala Chai (typical Indian/pakistani tea brewed with milk). A must visit for every connoisseur of South Asian food.

Arrived in Hanoi last night and spotted this restaurant. I was reluctant to dine without reading reviews. So glad I did. This place deserves the good reviews and I agree with them.
On arrival I received a very warm welcome from staff and felt comfortable dining alone and the taste of the food did not disappoint either. I ordered a cup of tea, masala papad, sheek kebabs (1/2 mutton, half chicken) which were brilliant. I just wish I had taken a picture of them. I could hear them sizzling as I came down the stairs. As a starter it was a big portion but I ordered mains too. Being indian, I spoke to the staff and they made the aubergine dish just as requested.
Having completed and enjoyed my food, I was having a chat with the staff. It quickly became apparent they refused to serve beef in their restaurant due to their Indian customers. Being Hindu, this impressed me greatly. I will be back, tonight. Please support this family run restaurant.

My non veg thali was total disappointment. Butter chicken and kofta was the worst I ever had. They served sticky rice or rice that sticks. Roti was OK.
I would not recommend this to native south Asians. Foreigners may pass it on as indian cuisine but not me.
I was very hungry yet left more than half of chicken and kofta as taste was really bad even when you are hungry.

We ate here four weeks ago during a stay in Hanoi. The staff were lovely and very intent on us enjoying our food, with the owner asking for honest feed back and offering to change or adapt any meal to our specific requirements.
The meal was delicious, I had a chicken madras and black lentil daal and my friend had a vegetarian curry, we shared their infamous gigantic naan bread, though didn't manage it all!
It was all delicious and extremely cheap.
I would definitely go back if I visit Hanoi again.

If you want to eat halal food, you can come to this restaurant because serve a halal food for indian, pakistani and vegetariant foods. The juice is very excellent and the chicken korma is very delicious. Come and taste the very tasty food.

Our annual visit to this excellent restaurant.
We always have a thali and my nine year old specified the chicken krai, with dal, naan bread et al..
Not only is is delicious, it's as cheap as chips ď150,000, and you get a naan the size of a blanket.
Theres a full menu is you want a more varied meal.
A nice feature is that the owner will always change the food if it's not to your taste..

Delicious food and a heartwarming bon homie at this restaurant that serves sumptuous Indian food. Riyaz who runs the place is a man with a heart of gold. I had gone to get a takeaway dinner for my family and since we were new to Hanoi, I was looking to buy onion and tomato for breakfast the next morning. When I asked Riyaz where I can get some, he immediately gave me more than what I needed without charging a single penny. He said, "Paise kamaane ke liye ye restaurant nahi khola hai" (I'm not running this restaurant to make money) What a guy. Hey Riyaz, you've definitely earned my respect!

Best restaurant for Indian and Pakistani food lovers
I am from Kashmir and was suffered to have great Indian and kashmiri food but once I found the restaurant online and we have dinner there . Dinner was delicious and I bet you that you will not miss your home food . All staff was so courteous and helpful specially Riyaz Urf Hera 🤗😋

After over a month travelling in Vietnam and eating local food on a daily basis, we were craving something different and this evening chose to eat at an Indian restaurant near the Old Quarter in Hanoi. After reviewing nearby restaurants on Google maps, we chose PK Spice Restaurant mainly because it was close and offered thali meals. I opted for a vegetarian thali and my wife chose a chicken thali. I asked for mine to be extra spicy and wasn’t disappointed. My wife was also very happy with hers. The service is quick, the restaurant is clean, and the portions for both our meals were excellent. I’d highly recommend you opt for the naan bread versus rice. It’s a small multi level restaurant, plain but very quaint. I would definitely recommend it for a budget but tasty meal.

Honestly! The BIGGEST and most delicious Naans anywhere in the world!
We had theKashmiri and the garlic naan
When they arrived at the table everyone stared at the size of them! So delicious! We also had the Bibdi masala and Navtran Korma!
For the naans, two steamed rice, two curries and a beverage we paid under $13!!
311,000 dong
And we were stuffed! Took half the Kashmiri home for later!
So much cheaper for the quality and size than rival places! Recommending to Happy Cow as well! Perfect!

I really value this wonderful authentic Pakistani restaurant in the heart of Hanoi. The staff are most friendly, generous and polite. The food has the wonderful aromatic smells and spices of the Sub Continent. In spite of the difficult experience of shutdown and loss of business, they are still providing the best on offer. Please go and support them.

My husband and I are from Sydney - travelling around Vietnam . After 10 days of oriental , I was ready for Indian . PK spice was a great pick - staff and service is very good & OMG The size of the garlic naan here is insane.

Very good restaurant in the city center of Hanoi. They serve Halal food with the halal sertificate. Also the food is delicious, very recommended for muslim travellers like us. The owner also friendly and location of the resto is easy to find 👍

We were craving Indian food and decided to come here during our stay in Hanoi. It wasn’t very busy so we were seated quickly and our order was taken right away. The food we ordered— veggie samosas, alo gobi mattar, palak paneer, and roti—was pretty decent. It certainly wasn’t the best Indian food we’ve had, but it was flavorful and hit the spot.
