Nice Cafe to have a warm drink and relax. They have zero cal and brown sugar option for drinks. No almond milk though. If you’re looking for somewhat of a healthy breakfast with multigrain or brown bread instead of regular breads, this is the place to go. There’s also terrace area if you would like to seat outdoors.

still my favorite place for great cappuccino and excellent wifi--the food is quite good, too..but the great view of the Stupa (it's as though you could reach out and touch it!) is the very best. Lots of comfy sitting places, a nice, clean Western-style toilets, too

Best coffee in Nepal ! Decent lunch and prices too. If you are craving a real fresh bean, fresh milk coffee…this is the place. The barista training is spot on, better than most European standards :-)

Just a pricey coffee place in Thamel, Kathmandu. Decent atmosphere but the books inside are just for show. Staff weren't rude, but definitely weren't friendly. Mostly just disappointed that the menu and sign outside advertise all day breakfast, but stops serving it after 3pm. I'd give it a miss.

We ordered three poach benedicts, all of which were dry/overcooked, no trace of runny egg yolk. To make do with the situation, we asked for extra Hollandaise sauce. And that was dissapointing to say the least. Did not expect such carelessness for such a basic breakfast staple.

Why the cafe share space with clothes/trekking shop? I feel I am in a mall, not classy Java, which was famous place from many years before. Also why you removed freshly brewed coffee for 150? And why you are still not including VAT in your prices as it is according to the Nepali law? Why deceiving your customers and not showing a real price? Very weird. You know what - only two star for that, because that's not fair. You have 2 stars because your staff is very fast, nice and professional.

We went an outlet at thamel inside mandala streets. We were in a group of 10 people , 2 nepalese & 8 foreigners . We ordered our lunch and some drinks . Nothing went right that time. They took 45 minutes to bring coffee and tea which was brought 1 drink at a time and we have to rush to counter to ask where z the other drink . They had manpower all new and can't handle orders . They were lost on our orders . Next lunch , they took another 1.5 hr to bring our lunch , the first meal was brought and by the time the first one was done with his meal , half of us had not yet got our meal . The worst situation was when we had to deal with One of our order. It was veg spaghetti. They prepared only one. When we went to ask the counter to know about veg spaghetti to know how long ll it take more to get this for 2. They said it's only one that they took order and they ll prepare the next portion as well after the first one. But they bring both portions together in a while . Seeing at the portion , it was literally unbelievable . The guy put 1 portion of spaghetti in 2 plates . I said to the guy sitting at the counter , you had fooled us by dividing 1 portion of spaghetti into two and making 2 serves . He was not ready to accept that . Literally the plate was hardly filled half . After eating , I was still hungry . Later a lady was there in a bill counter and I made a complaint to her , she was also not ready to accept that . Instead she was saying go and visit another Java outlet and see portion there . I was cheated giving one portion of spaghetti in 2 plates and charging for 2 plates. So basically , this outlet was very slow , unexperienced staffs , cheating staffs and not ready to listen to customer . I ll visit to other outlets which I had been visiting many times but I won't ever revisit Thamel Mandala street outlet ,nor I would recommend anyone . The date of visit - 27th Dec 2023.

Had coffee on 01/September/2023 The outlet that we viisted is in Lalitpur. The place is frequented by both locals and tourist. The interiors are very modern and well appointed for work and relaxing at the same time. The selection of beverages are elaborate and sides and much dishes are also available. The enviromnent is good for family and friends and also for office work. The place is very pricey. Occassional visit is a suggestion. Had Vegan cappucino with almond milk and black tea. Bill came to NPR 580/- Staff are polite but need more training on food preperation and serving. Enjoy

Went here several times during our stay in Kathmandu. This cafe is located above the north face shop on the corner in Thame. Had both americanos and cortados, both perfect. We also tried breakfast on one of the mornings and couldn’t fault it- the grilled veggie sandwich was delicious! The design of the cafe and layout is comfortable and relaxed with great staff.

After spending a decent amount of money at this Himalayan Java on a pizza, a sandwich, a mocha and a blueberry smoothie, I was reminded of the "cost of ice" when I asked for a single cube for my regular non mineral water. How amazing is that! Very exciting. Next time if ever I return, please include the "cost of ice" on my bill and I shall pay for it. :) :) :) :) <3 <3 <3

A cozy place with beautiful view. Excellent coffee, good food, polite and caring staff. Prices are a bit high for Kathmandu standards, the quality, however, is very good. I really enjoy having lunch here. The view is beautiful! Menu has a variety of European dishes.

Nice place to sit and get coffee in Thamel. Supposedly, this is the main store for Himalayan Java coffee and it shows. Huge cafe with lots of seats and extensive menu. I always get the v60 pour over, so got that and it didn't disappoint - smooth, delicious coffee.

This is a great spot to either prepare yourself for the Thamel chaos or to recover from it. It's upstairs, above the noise and crowds and the espresso was excellent. We visited several times during our days in Kathmandu mostly for coffee but also for food. The menu is extensive. The music is subdued piano and a nice change from the cacophony down on the streets.
