We had a great evening with attentive service, well prepared food and beautiful atmosphere. There feature entrees were very good. Loved the salmon, and blackened chicken pasta. Thank you for a great night.

My family has come to this restaurant for years and it never disappoints. The food is always good and the customer service is excellent!
Great place to have a dinner at Ames, IA. Nice environment, friendly and fast service. Delicious food! Tri-tip was yummy!
Met a colleague here for lunch, and was delighted! Had a salad, very generous in size and very tasty. We sat outside on the porch (I guess you'd call it) and enjoyed the nice weather. Prompt service, quick parking, all in all, very delightful.
Went here for dinner the one time I didn't go to Cornbred across the street. Had very good salmon (I know, in Iowa?). Good service and outdoor dining available.
Had a great meal at Aunt Maude's over the weekend. I have been visiting this restaurant for over 40 years. The chili crusted filet was amazing!! We had excellent servers and wait staff and the recent remodel has freshened up the ambiance. Wine list is...well balanced.More
Enjoyed this upscale restaurant in downtown Ames. The prime rib was perfectly cooked and my husband enjoyed his Alfredo dish. Nice atmosphere and good service. Priced higher than some, but worth the money.
We went to Aunt Maude’s for a trip down memory lane. When my husband was going to school in Ames, I worked in the accounting department of Aunt Maude’s. I had the smaller tri-tip dish and it was excellent, my husband had the pasta with...soy sauce and we split a very tasty dessert. Our waiter was very attentive. So glad to see it still is in business.More
My husband and I met a friend here for dinner; we are all visitors to the area. The food was quite good and ample. The service was very good, and the ambience was the nicest we've seen in the area. Definitely recommend it. Plenty of...on-street parking, as well.More
We arrived without reservations early on a Sat eve and got one of the remaining available tables. Our server, Dea B. Was polite and efficient. We ordered the blueberry/strawberry shortcake first (life is too short to eat desert last!) and it was great! The fruit...was plump, whole and delicious. The shortcake was firm enough so as not to get sloppy from the fruit juices and whipped cream on top. Excellent! Our main course was the salmon dinner, for which we asked for a second plate to share. When it arrived, the kitchen had already split our meal onto two plates, and each serving was a meal more than enough of one! Salmon smooth, flaky, melt in the mouth goodness! Veggies were fried carrot chunks, new green beans, broccoli spears and cauliflower spikes with bits of spinach and a couple of mini toms. Quite good, crunchy and not too greasy. The rice with freshly ground pepper via Dea, was firm and chewy. We also ordered the bread basket, which had mild taste, almost sourdough flavor, warm and crisp (maybe a bit too crisp?) and whipped butter. With a glass of milk for my wife, only $35 so, while not cheap, not too expensive either. Plus tip all in $45More
Looked in TripAdvisor and look what we found! The Prime Rib dinner was fantastic. Staff was very helpful. We had a great time and finished the meal with some Port from their selections. I would recommend!
On 8/14/2020 around the 5:30 p.m. timeframe, our family ordered a Love at First Bite, kids cheeseburger (ordered as well done), and a bistro blackened chicken angel hair for take out (due to COVID-19 pandemic). The fries looked as if they sat in grease all...day and were flimsy (not worth eating) and the kids burger was cooked medium-rare. We had to recook the burger in order to eat it. The blackened chicken was fine but not worth $15.50. We will not be returning anytime soon.More
We are a family that loves a great meal - we are from Chicago. So to find a place like this was a great find! We wanted a more upscale restaurant to celebrate the end of freshman orientation. We enjoyed sharing the truffle fries and...the pork loin was on point! It will definitely be on our list of places to eat for the next four years while our daughter attends Iowa State.More
This place is great for romantic dates. Good food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend this place.
Had a nice lunch. My son and husband loved the French dip. Nice service and atmosphere. Will go again
