The food exceeded our expectations! The ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender and the mahi mahi was excellent. Topped off the meal with the pineapple upside-down cake! A wonderful experience. We'll definitely be returning.

Have had lunch here twice in the last couple of years and it has suck a wonderful vibe to it. I found the food quite good and the service is second to none. Get a reservation to insure you can be seated.
Wirh Impeccable service and delicious food , our first experience here was a perfect finish to our Wedding Anniversary. We also appreciated the safe, socially distanced outside eating! We started with the Shrimp Cobb Salad and then chose, and highly enjoyed, the ribeye steak frites...and the Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi with tropical fruit salsa, Moloka'i sweet potato mash and mango-lilikoa butter sauce. The Riesling was good as well.More
Great service but food is overrated. Curry generous but bland and overly creamy, crab pizza need to be removed from menu😬sorry! 6/6 of us were underwhelmed and crowded inside for Covid, there is a outdoor tent option but u loose the nice ambience of inside
Ready for another trip! Our family of 9 loved this place. This is a wonderful place to vacation with family! We’ve decided we’re going every year! Perfect for the kiddos too! Suggest families come along!!! 🌺💋🥰
This is a place we always go to when we vacation in Maui. The food is excellent and their drinks are inventive and delicious.
This place is really good. It’s name is a little confusing, but it is an actual restaurant and it’s really good! It’s off the main road to Hana, but worth the few mile drive. We had planned to go to a popular seafood place is...Paia, but they were booked, so we settled on this place. We were glad we did.More
We tried to make a reservation on Open Table and were told nothing was available. We decided to go any, arriving promptly at opening time, and discovered we could be seated without any wait. Manager Cathy explained that reservations are necessary only for parties of...five or more. So, don't be discouraged if Open Table turns you away--but do keep in mind this is a popular place, so you might have to wait for a table for that reason. Moving on to the food and service, Maddy's buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and my sashimi Napoleon were well prepared, flavorful, and full of texture. Special thanks to Dee for delivering my Napoleon and demonstrating an effective technique for cutting into it. Thanks, too, to Dale and Spencer for providing cordial service. I have a feeling we'll eat here again, especially since we have booked the Maui Gold Bee Tour which is directly across the street from HGS.More
Aloha Thank you for your excellent review! We're pleased that you had a wonderful dining experience with us. We can't wait to see you again soon. Mahalo
After a lovely tasting at the distillery across the street, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the store. My salad was filling and satisfying and my friend's lunch of a kalua pork sandwich was very tasty. Of course, our coconut lime cocktail was soooo tasty...and we're still talking about that drink! We would all highly recommend the Hali'imaile General Store.More

All Maui needs is ANOTHER ABC store. This store, back in the day, was SO COOL. Dammit. Now it stinks. Is there something wrong with having an historic landmark building that sells something OTHER than keychains and polyester hawaiian shirts? Is character and authenticity illegal...now? Shameful and gross.More
