Well, if the world is ending I decided I was going enjoy 2 not just 1 grilled cheese.
This is super significant for me because I’m allergic to wheat and dairy. So, besides the fat and carbs I willingly consumed known allergens.
I really enjoyed the grilled cheese.
Mobile order was slowed because lots of guests and off duty Cast Members ordered grilled cheese after the evening show sans fireworks.
Waiting around while they prepared fresh grilled cheeses I spoke with off duty Cast Members, who were changed into civilian clothes after their shift. They stated they were sad about the closure. They also stated they were grateful they would be paid during this uncertain time.
So back to the grilled cheeses, OMGOSH, the bread was crispy. That crispiness and savoriness can only be explained by ample amounts of butter. And not the vegan, cashew milk butter I eat at home. This was full-on animal , saturated fat.
There are 3 layers of gooey, melted, fatty cheese on this thing too. OMGOSH!!!!
You can order it with their tomato bisque and be a kid again. Dunk that sandwich right into the bisque. This simple meal is just another way adults can revisit the nostalgia of their childhoods.
I always eat here. If you choose to, use Mobile Order off the Disneyland APP.

This cafe was actually one of our favorite places in Disney. We had lunch here, the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato basil soup, which was very reasonably priced and completely delicious. The Mickey Mouse gingerbread man cookies were the best gingerbread I’ve ever had, we bought several more to take home!

Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe can be found at the North end of Main Street where the Plaza Pavillion was once located. It is a garden patio cafe with a Mary Poppins theme.
This place serves fresh baked pastries, salads, soups, beverages and sandwiches. The Cafe also includes menu choices for those with gluten, milk, soy, fish, egg or nut allergies.
We went for a snack of beverages and the Raspberry Macaroons. The line in the morning was fairly long but worth the wait. The Raspberry Macaroon is delicate but rich tasting cookie... combined with a coffee, it makes for a great snack break.

We were hungry for Breakfast food after starting our day so early. We wanted breakfast food. Glad we choose this place . It was perfect . Not bad priced either. They are cheap eats for Disneyland really !!! They even sell the Disney mug I get every time I go to Disneyland. I have been collecting them for years. They nice to take with you anywhere. They make a nice souvenir. They always change the pictures for the Holidays . I use to find them in a few food places this time I only found them here.
The line was so log and we were so hungry we ordered our food on the Disney app and picked it up to avoid the line.

Love the smaller breakfast option versus a buffet that most family members will only eat a couple items.
My family loved the bacon & egg croissant. Fruit and yogurt was a hit too. Best was the cinnamon roll. Not too sweet, just right.
Coffee drinks were good.
Disappointed that when we went back in the afternoon for the Matterhorn macaroons that they had abruptly shut down and couldn't tell us when they'd re-open.
Service was fast and courteous. Seemed like good teamwork to make it run smoothly.

We stopped in here for lunch and everyone liked their meal. The grilled cheese sandwich was okay but the tomato basil soup that came with it was delicious. Both my sister and niece liked the Caprese Sandwich. Not as expensive as some of the other restaurants in Disneyland.

Jolly Holiday Bakery offered some nice alternatives to the typical cheeseburger and chicken sandwich park fare. I had a roast beef sandwich and my husband had the chicken Waldorf salad, which were both good. We both enjoyed the homemade chips. We split the Mickey ear chocolate mousse dessert. It was very yummy! It was tough finding a table, though.

Went there for the tomato soup and grilled cheese, the kids enjoyed it, thought it was a bit sweet but enjoyable. The time we visited they had a live piano player while we eat which was nice. The staff assigned to keeping the area clean and in order were super efficient and nice.

This Disneyland cafe is a Mary Poppins inspired place to eat just off of Main Street by the entrance.
The sheltered garden patio is a great place for a spot of coffee and a pastry before heading into the park.
They have a good variety on offer but be prepared for Disney prices and queues.

We always get a treat at Jolly Holiday to enjoy during a parade and this trip we picked the Gingerbread Mickey cookie.. it did not disappoint at all! Totally lived up to the hype! Some days they sell out, so we mobile ordered at 7am to pick up for a few minutes before the parade we wanted to watch. They also sell the same cookies in the Disney Grand Californian lodge, but they were $3 more over there in the lobby at the holiday treat cart by the gingerbread house display.

We used to loved this place to grab a latte, cookie, pastry and milk. Now, they have made so many cuts to their drinks, staffing and service it is getting harder to like.
There is No low-fat or skim milk for kids or coffee. And the coffee is awful! The service is also so random and disorganized at times. Can’t they watch Starbucks and try their system?
The bakery cases are also often empty or almost empty. This looks AWFUL. This is unacceptable at the old Disneyland.
The line is also horribly tended to and there should be some menu in line so people know what they want when they get to the front.
One more really off thing was using a open trash can as a station to rope off the mobile order area. It’s dirty and bad show.

Even though I've been visiting Disneyland for years, I'd never eaten anything from Jolly Holiday. Usually the long lines and packed tables were enough to put me off. The lines were still long and the tables were still packed on the first night of our Disneyland 6th wedding anniversary trip, but I was intent on trying one of their offerings for the Halloween season.
I ordered the chicken salsa roja sandwich that came with a side of tortilla soup. The meal portion was sizable and definitely will leave you full. Both the soup and sandwich had a nice kick to it but was not overly spicy. The best way to do this sandwich is with a soppy dip into the soup each time because why not! I'd definitely eat at Jolly Holiday again but next time I need to try their desserts!

A visit to Disneyland at Christmas time means having to buy a Mickey gingerbread cookie. There are actually a few versions but I've read that the full body cookie is the best one. I ordered at 7am (max of 5 per person) and you can choose times up to around 10:30am. If you are late picking up, the order cancels (it happened to us one day when we were stuck in line for a ride).
The Mickey gingerbread cookie is definitely delicious. We brought back a few to freeze to have in a few months. It'll bring back memories of Christmas in Disneyland!

We visited Disneyland on May 31. Stopped for lunch at Jolly Holiday Cafe off of Mainstreet . It’s a quick service restaurant, not a mobile order one. You order the meal inside then find your table. There were plenty of available tables. We were impressed at how tasty the lunch was. Lunch starts at 10:30. Before that, it’s sweet rolls, croissant breakfast sandwiches etc…. I ordered the toasted cheese sandwich with the tomato soup combo. Other family members ordered the beef birria sandwich with consume dip. Delicious!
