Excellent food and service. Generous portions. We split appetizers and a main course, then the chocolate soufflé. The lobster dumplings were amazing.

Our first experience at this location, after having been frequent patrons of Roy's in Newport Beach, and having missed our tradition of spending our Christmas dinner at Roy's, celebrating both anniversary and birthday. We were always remembered at the Newport Beach restaurant, and wanted to start a new tradition at this venue. After figuring out the parking garage and locating the restaurant in this very busy area, we waited 15 minutes for our reserved table, which gave us a chance to look around. A much different "vibe" than the NB location, with more young family groups, likely because of Disneyland nearby. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, and we were seated in a very nice booth which made it seem more intimate in the large room. The price fixe menu was as expected, our bottle of Roy's cabernet as delightful as always. Our server was kind and friendly, our food was good although not as good as previous times. Dessert was brought out with special greetings, and overall we felt that we would return at least once a year. We miss the old Roy's. but this was a good option to not having it at all.

I was there with two suppliers from Japan. I waited a little too long to make reservations, they were hoping for a proper steakhouse (Morton's) but I knew Roy's was really good. I wasn't disappointed. I was a little confused by a sudden change in wait staff as we began to order, but what happened was they changed our server to one who was fluent in Japanese! How awesome for my guests, right? The cocktail and wine were top notch. The steak...spectacular. Everyone devoured everything. The fresh from the oven desserts were fabulous as well. We agreed that every Saturday night at NAMM we will return to Roy's for what we know will be amazing food and service.

I arrived early in the happy hour food and drink menus period at Roy's. With just two customers in that area, we got excellent service, and most helpful suggestions around wine and food pairings. This level of service continued, even as this area quickly stacked up beyond seating capacity. This place is popular because the food and service offering is very, very good. I will return.

Went to Roy's again, and we all decided that Roy's is the best restaurant in Anaheim. We all tried different dishes this time. Such a fabulous dinner, especially the Canoe appetizer for 2, which was expanded for the 5 of us. Equally superb was the butterfish and braised short ribs. The upside down pineapple cake and the chocolate cake were outstanding. We were celebrating a graduation, and Roy's made it very special with a nice sign on the table when we arrived, and the desserts displayed beautifully with a candle. Service was excellent. Parking was easy in the lot, and Roy's will validate your parking ticket for 2 hours.

We went there for dinner one night because it looked so nice from the outside and the decoration is lovely alright. However, the place is crowded and noisy and quite pricey and I wasn't 100% convinced about the "fusion". I think I would have been better off sticking to a traditional dish.

It’s not really fushion, they just added sushi to the menu. The house specialty, black cod, is smothered in cheap Thai-style sweat and sour sauce. It’s terrible. The house specialty dessert, chocolate soufflé, is actually a fondant. Very disappointing. There are much better options nearby.

We decided to try Roy's based on the online reviews we had found and we are glad we did. We had a few dishes from the starters menu including the Ebi Roll , Crispy Wok Fried Shrimp Tempura and the wedge salad. The portions were perfect and the dishes tasted amazing. The Macadamia Nut Bread Pudding was worth the visit alone. Great staff and setting. Hope to return one day.

Upscale Hawaiian focused spot in the Garden Walk. Came here for dinner with my parents on a Friday evening and made a reservation in advance. We had the canoe sampler for the appetizer and even though it’s meant for two people, we were able to split it amongst the three of us. My dad particularly loves the spring rolls they have. I had the jumbo tiger shrimp as my entree, which came with 6 pieces of shrimp and a very small amount of noodles. My mom had the classic combo, while my dad had an order of a sushi roll. They were out of salmon on that particular night and so the classic four dish was unavailable. The entrees were all on the smaller side, so I would suggest ordering some sides if you’re on the hungrier side. Service was friendly and checked in on us often. They inquired about allergies at the beginning of the meal and since my mom is allergic to shrimp, they were very clear and direct in terms of what may potentially trigger her allergies. Credit cards accepted. Paid garage parking (no street parking available). Bathrooms located in the back right hand side. It is good for large groups.

Roy's is always a solid choice... that said, it is not what it used to be. The ambiance is classy, the bar has almost everything you could want (but not Drambue), the server's know the menu and the food is solid... but not great... Somewhere along the way the focus of Roy's has shifted from "The Fish" to "The Sauces" and that is a big mistake, particularly, when it comes to white meat fish with subtle tastes. Strong sauces overwhelm the fish and all that is left is the taste of the sauce. Why pay for fish if you can't taste it? The sushi is 5-star and I can wholeheartedly recommend Auntie Lei's Aloha roll... a delicious mix of spicy tuna, albacore and salmon! My disappointment was the Classic Four fish sampler. Solidly prepared and attractively dished, the disappointment was that the sauces overwhelmed the fish. Roy's used to be a standout because of their uncanny ability to draw out the subtle nuance of incredibly delicate fish. I look forward to the day I can enjoy that mastery again.

We've eaten at several of Roy's restaurants in Hawaii and California for well over a decade and have never had even an average meal. This time, the dynamite salmon and the parmesan bacon-crusted sea bass were wonderful. And Roy's made eating vegetables a treat with their tempura green beans. I've never loved green beans so much before! We always finish the meal off by sharing the chocolate soufflé. We could tell that the server was a little new, but it wasn't a big problem. If you can afford it, you can't go wrong at Roy's.

Back here for a second time in the hope it would be a bit better. Firstly, the food here is good. In fact, it's the reason we came here a second time. However, we were totally put off by the fact that one of the servers was chewing on a toothpick the entire time! Reasons for chewing on a toothpick: 1) You have something stuck in your teeth (gross, deal with it in private) 2) You're sort of working a look where you chew on a toothpick 3) You're hoping to tick your boss off by people noticing it and writing it in reviews Neither of these is appropriate for a restaurant with Roy's prices. It was just gross. All round sloppy. They don't quite get it right here. Harsh, bright lighting and service that's a little off. Such a shame as the food really is very good. Well, we gave it a second try. Paid a big bill. Got random stuff that we didn't order that had to be sent back. I just think that management needs to step it up a notch.

We make it a point of eating at a Roy's Restaurant wherever we find them! This is now our 5th location between Hawaii locations & mainland. Same amazing food & service. We booked a last minute large table of 8 and they accommodated us and made for a special birthday dinner celebration. All of our apps & entrees were perfect and the desserts are "chef's kiss"! We were hoping to find the meatloaf on the menu but were told it's only served in the Hawaii locations. It's amazing, so hope they consider adding that in the future.

At a time that quality restaurants and service is hard to find Roys did not disappoint. We went for my wives birthday. Food, service were great. A wonderful way to unwind from a long day at the park.

Roy’s has a presence about five minutes from Disneyland. It also is very close to the convention center. There are many positive attributes about this restaurant and a few negative. Positive: 1) the waitstaff was super attentive. 2) the ambience is very pleasant 3) the sauces used on several dishes were delightful. 4) the birthday lava cake surprise was awesome!! 5) the sea bass was cooked very well. Negative: 1) the poke did not taste fresh. Instead had a strong metallic smell. It was sent back. 2) the special received mixed reviews from those at our table. 3) an error was made on our bill. Despite a few “misses” I would go back.
