I thought I had reviewed this place before when my wife and I had the tasting menu for dinner in which they tried to kill us with dish after dish after dish after dish of delicious food. We were back recently for the Thanksgiving weekend...and decided to have lunch outside on an unseasonably nice day. As before, the food was delicious. Our waiter recommended 4-5 small plates for lunch. We chose 4 and it was plenty. I especially enjoyed the cauliflower and kabob, and my wife enjoyed the tzatziki and mushroom kapnista. They were running a "Sparkling Festival" so we had the sparkling flight - 3 sparkling wines for $22. We enjoyed the tastes so much we bought the three bottles to take home for $108. Zaytinya is on our "must eat" list when we visit DC.More

Absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere. Lovely wait staff. We had the chefs choice menu, which included enough food for 3 people. Fantastic value. Highly recommended.

Lovely patio for covid dining! Service was excellent, and the complimentary fresh pita bread was lovely too. We had shish tawouk, baba ghanoush, roasted brussel sprouts and wine. All were delicious. The dessert was great too! Recommended.

Food was amazing, specially the mezze and falafel. There’s a beautiful safe terrace seating outside.

We had our hearts set on the lamb shoulder - this dish must be ordered a day ahead of time, unbeknownst to us, if they do not happen to have extras, but we still had a wonderful dining experience. All the food was delicious and...service was excellent. We will be returning in the future, and next time will order the lamb shoulder in advance. I particularly enjoyed the brussel sprouts. The other lamb dishes we tried were also flavorful. They are a must-try.More

Probably been to Zaytinya 12-15X over the years. We live 3 hours away and go to DC as a 'get away to the city' at least once per year. Had the $35 five course tasting menu. Is there a better deal anywhere? Really? So we...shared 10 plates of different food. What's not to LOVE?More

I think it is always best to check with the restaurant directly. They do have a wide range of choices so there are probably things they could recommend without modification and then you could also see how willing they are to... More
