We visited Founding Farmers for brunch. Food was great but I have had better. The Beignets were a great starter to try just wished they were brought out as an app not with our meal. We loved that all the food was fresh and locally...More

Our party of 10 ate at Founding Farmers upon someone's recommendation. We had a reservation and arrived early to a packed house. We had a short wait, but were seated on time. We ate upstairs, which was very noisy. We were promptly served water and...More

Lucky to have made reservations! This place was packed during Veteran's Day week and I can see why....best food in town. The wait staff knows how the food and drink are prepared, served and tastes! It was hard to save room for dessert but I...More

Had a great dinner with colleagues from work. Food was fantastic. Service was good, not quite great, but not bad by any means. They set the bar so high with the food that you expect the service to be just as phenomenal. Going back for...More

We had a great dinner here. They were very accommodating to our large group. Food was delicious and staff was attentive. Each of us loved our food which represented quite a wide array of menu selections.

Founding Farmers, the Greenest Restaurant in DC, is owned by the more than 40,000 family farmers of the NDFU, serving American inspired real food and drink with an emphasis and focus on cooking from scratch. While our restaurant is supplied by hundreds of family farms everywhere, that doesn't mean we know every farm, and that doesn't mean we never have to buy product from the traditional (corporate) supply chain, but it does mean we're working hard to direct our purchasing dollars where it aligns with our values. We're serving the best food we can, made from scratch in our kitchens every day. Our innovative, American dishes are made primarily with pure ingredients honoring the farmers and their hard-earned bounty.
