Had a teambuilding event at this place in a specifically-picked non-busy time, there were barely any other customers present, and yet I think the staff was somewhat lacking, and both communication and wait time could have been much better when we take the price range...More

Came out of Folkklubs and friends wanted to hear some jazz. Opposite was Trompete and O.K. it was 21.30 on a Sunday night but there wasn't a soul in the place and a notice stating that music was from 23.00 - 05.00.

After an awkward moment when my clients reservation was not respected by the restaurant, the manager simply walked away! They didn’t offer a solution, or apologize in any way! My client (whom I was with when she made the reservation) was initially mortified by how...More

We arrived in Riga for the first time and had already explored Folkklubs opposite. We popped in for a drink to find a range of 10 local beers on draft plus a beer/wine list and snacks/light meals. Very pleasant atmosphere and we stayed for a...More

During the Independence day everything in Riga was packed with people. Fortunately, we were seated in a small table. I have to admit that they have a great variety of Latvian draft beers. The food in my opinion was average. More specifically, the mozzarella salad...More

Description
The culturally musical bar and restaurant Trompete (‘trumpet’ in Latvian) was conceived with an aim to offer fresh, delicious food with ingredients sourced from selected locally produced and imported products combined with the pleasing sounds of jazz music, acclaimed wines and select whiskies and rums. The restaurant is located in the heart of the Old Town, next to the ancient Salt Carriers’ Guild. The historical aura at Trompete has been preserved, combined with modern minimalism and a warm, relaxed, yet refined atmosphere. Pendant lamps, wooden tables and exposed historic walls allow everyone to enjoy the fusion of gastronomy and music.
