The atmosphere was cosy and fun; we had our meal on the boat which was novel and fun and provided beautiful views of the people having fun on the river. The food was typical Lithuanian fare, well pre-pared and generous. My son wished he had ordered a half portion; it was more food than he could eat. Drinks were delicious and fun. Service was a bit off when we were there. They were busy, possibly overstaffed. The bartender seemed to take a break just as I had ordered a drink, or at least it took quite a long time. No worries, the drink was worth the wait. Our family had a fun dinner of authentic Lithuanian cuisine with a lovely view.

Although it is very busy on a Saturday evening, the dishes are very tasty, the waiters work calmly, stress-free, and polite. The administrator greets, escorts to the table, hands the menu. We came without reserving a table in a large company, the administrator promptly arranged and organized a table for us, it is very, very nice that a person loves so much and does his job well. Thank you very much

Whilst exploring Klaipeda harbour, we came across this place and decided to give it a go. At first glance we really appreciated the porch interior (very cozy). We ordered some drink and snacks, the waiter was friendly and pretty quick with the order. After ordering main dish it didn’t have to wait longer than 30 minutes for our meal to be served. The food was great (I ordered sashlyk and my wife ordered pancakes) all of which were well prepared! Great price for a great meal. Def recommend to come by check it out

We came with my friend to get some food and couple glasses of wine. On the menu we saw “recommended red wine” and when the waitress came to serve us, we asked so what’s that recommended red wine you offering? She said “I have no idea”, we asked at least if she can tell if it’s dry or medium dry and etc., she said “well, it’s red wine”, in the end, she said she’s going to ask the bartenders and coming back. Sadly, she never came back to us, we found her after 20min just speaking and laughing with other staff members :) we were waiting, then we went to another waiter and ask if he could come take an order. We asked the same question him, what’s the recommended wine, and he said he has no idea, well, we gave up on that, he was more polite then her anyway. We ordered some food and one drink each. While we were having food and drinks, another the third waiter came to us to tell that they are closing and we have to leave in 5 minutes, we nicely agreed and said that we are leaving for sure, this waiter was very kind and nice. While we were speaking with this waiter, the previous waiter came to our table and WHISPERED something to that third waiter in front of us. We asked what are you whispering, because we noticed it’s something about us. He answered “nothing”, we asked AGAIN, what are you whispering him, tell us? He said “that I do not care, if you are not leaving in 5minutes I will take everything from your hands”. Honestly, I was shocked. And he just left like that. I have no idea how is the service with foreign people, but we were Lithuanians, I’m writing this in English so that everybody can see how disrespectful experience we had, as well how you can not know what’s the recommended dish or drink on the menu?? This place is in the hearth of center, should represent the beautiful city in a good way, and now it was a huge disappointment.

It seems to be nice place to enjoy local cucine, but in fact waiters are very unprofessional - brings you desert(ice cream) before second dish and just leaves it there, food looks nice in the menu, but pretty untasty and portions are way too big.
Never bought one second dish and then brings ir after the bill is brought and make you pay for that. Second time I'm there - same story every time.
Won't come back and won't recommend.

The waitress took the wrong order and started arguing with me when I tried to politely decline the wrong food. Then she just left.
Went to the bar to find the manager, the manager did not appear.
Talked to another employee at the bar trying to ask for help.
The waitress that took the wrong order came up and complained about us to her bar colleague, mocking my words in a "funny voice", trying to take advantage that we don't speak Lithuanian. Now I was just shocked.
Reluctantly, the bar employee let me pay for the drink I had and to leave the wrong food.
Me, the paying customer, was blamed for not ordering the right food and the part with the waitress mocking my words in a "funny voice" is just unbelievable and UNACCEPTABLE.

They have very nice menu, but the worst service ever in Klaipeda. We came with a 3 years kid and waited for 1,2 hour our “Lithuanian” breakfast and a dish from colourful kids menu. At the same time this place was empty (with 4 waiters 🤔). I think that it was the waste of time (of our holidays) and money. I can’t imagine how do they work when they are full! Don’t recommend.

We visited this Restaurant following a recommendation in the Dupont Tourguide Balticum. It was dissapointing. The waiter was totally free of motivation. For our starter (cold herring soup and cold beetroot soup) we had to wait 45 minutes although the Restaurant was max. 50% occupied. It came immediately after we told the waiter that we will not wait any longer. Quality of food was average. The main course baked lithuanian curd cheese on a bed of beetroot did not have any taste. The second main cutlet jurate was okay but nothing special. The toilets were super dirty. Both, male and female. See pictures. This restaurant is not a recommendation!

So I wanted to have a lunch and came to Katpedele by the river in Klaipeda. I sat down and was waiting for 15 minutes. Nobody brought me menu, although there were at least 4 (!!) waiters for around 10 tables, yet nobody payed attention to me. So I asked for a menu , and a guy brought it to me. I decided my order in 2 minutes yet I was sitting for another 15 minutes and nobody came to take my order only just very quickly passing by me. I mean, the senior waitress was checking all the tables every 3 minutes and didnt see me or what? very poor service. at the end after wasting half an hour of my life, I just left :D

After making an order( simpliest order ever) we got drinks only and were waiting for food 45 min. After 45 min waiting, my husband got his COLD breakfast( eggs and sausages) and i got a bad news that they have no ingredients for my order. So, in their opinion i had to sit starving and staring at my husband eating his cold breakfast OR make another order and wait next 45 min for my order( then my husband would be waiting for me eating my breakfast). Taking turn. It coukd take 2 hours just for breakfast. Okay, i asked do they have any desserts that i could get just right now. Very young inexperienced waiter couldnt even say a word. We paid our bill and left this place. My husband left his breakfast because it was cold and not nice. Thank u never ever again. Dont recommend this place.

Me and my friends wanted to get a diner and a few drinks.the staff kept ignoring us for first 20 minutes, right after taking our order they asked us to pay for the food, even before bringing the food. The staff kept ignoring us even after we paid for the food. Inthe space of an hour noone came up to ask if we wanted another drink, and the place wasn't even busy. This was the worst service I ever encountered. As a paying customer i never felt so neglected. There's plenty places in Klaipeda you can go, avoid this one unless it's the last place you can go to.

Appalling service, just go elsewhere. I'm writing this from the restaurant. We got our own menus, and then 25 minutes later a very surly waiter told us there was a 90-minute wait for food! It's busy, but far from full. They clearly don't want to serve us. Apparently drinks will take 5 minutes... he told us that almost ten minutes ago. Great setting, but just don't waste your time

We arrived on a Saturday night and asked the waitress if they still make food at 23.30 pm and she said yes. Then we sat outside and were patiently waiting for service. 15 min later- nobody came to serve us, so we grabbed the menu’s ourselves. There were couple of tables nearby who were served food & drinks, but waiters and waitresses didn’t notice us at all. After about an hour later we finally decided to go to the bar and ask for service so we can order some food and the waiter said that the kitchen had already closed. So all I can say about this restaurant is that the staff is terrible..

Oh what a terrible place, after a very sad few days of a family funeral 4 of our family decided to go for dinner as a final get together before we parted to our different countries.
Sadly we picked Katpedele on the river in Klaipeda
We entered at 4.45 pm got a table and menus we ordered a bottle of wine and some water which did come in time though one glass short for water
After some time the waitress came and took our order
From this point it became a disaster
Two places of soup were delivered to the table no further food 15 minutes later two main courses were given to the two other diners but one had ordered soup as a starter the waitress was furious when I said I did not want my main course before my soup she stormed away my wife followed later to the reception area only to be told that the chef was still cooking the soup 10 minutes later I got my soup at this stage my wife was finished her meal and 3 people were sitting watching me eat my soup then I got my meal I finished it then I asked the waitress where was the other two meals I got a stare and no answer one hour and 15 minutes of waiting and the other two guests got their main course we even had to put more money into the parking ticket machine
I asked to see the manager a lady with a name tag of Ugne took her time to come to the table. She declared that she was the manager. I asked her to come to the reception area for privacy but she refused and declared she would discuss all matters in front of all the diners in the restaurant. I asked her several times if she concidered the service and the way we were treated as professional and up to the standard expected after many attempts to avoid answering a straight question she agreed with a no it was not good but it was most likely the kitchens fault not the waitress surly it is the company's fault
I told Egne I was not prepared to pay for service of meals that was served in the most appalling manner totally hap hazard no attention to detail no customer care but I would pay for the value of the food as a gesture of good will
This so called manager had a terrible manner in the end I paid in full bar 8 euro
I have looked at many reviews of this restaurant under the banner of terrible and it is obvious the owner, director, the management and the staff do not care, have no customer care have an attitude of there is one born every minute
I always thought reviews were a management tool of improvement, obvious not in this place with a false impression of a good restaurant I have acted with my feet they will never return.

Not sure where to start. Do not go there if you wish to have a family meal. Waitress on her day one. Took order, then had to come back because did not know what meals are available and which are not. Funny enough it was bank holiday 7pm and they ran out of 3 different dishes (at least). Main issue with the place is not even untrained staff or the manager that tries to blame it all on day one waitress. But rather disfunctional kitchen. Ordered 3 kids meals straight after we were seated. 2 kids meals came out quickly, while 3rd one took at least another 45min to come. One of the soups came 10min after ordering, another after 30min. First main meal actually came before the last kids meal (shocking). We probably wouldn't have minded waiting 1.5hrs for our main meal but everyone where eating at different times.. no family meal feeling what so ever. I never ate anywhere where they bring out meals at such a random and spread out times..
