Having just arrived to Warsaw, and starving on our way to the hotel, we stopped by Mrs Kim's Korean Food for a bite. The place was quite busy, and as Mrs. Kim was out of the house, poor Mr. Kim had to cook, serve, and...wrap everything up at once. A job managed to do on his own just fine. It took a little while, before everything was ready, but once it was, it was super nice, and we even got an extra soup/noodle dish, as apology for the waiting time. The course Bim Bim Bap, recommended by the house, was nice dish, with different fresh components, that Mr. Kim instructed us on how to mix carefully, before eating. The way Koreans incorporate eggs in to dishes with fresh vegetables, always amazes me. This was no exception. The fried chicken was delicious, with its fresh mix of fish-sauce/sugar marinade. And the beef meat with rice, really tasty, also thanks to a well put together marinade. Mr and Mrs. Kim represent the very soul of Korea with their heads up high in Warsaw. We went here based on a tip from Korean lady living in Warsaw and we were definitely pleasantly surprised. The small restaurant is located in a very old building at Grzybowska street and only has 3 tables available. In the cellar area where the toilet...is located one can smell it is an old style building but in the restaurant there is no smell other than that of the nice food. So to see husband and wife do both cooking and serving in a small kitchen. The menu looks nice and the way the dishes are served is different from what I have seen in other Korean restaurants. Standard with some 5 different side dishes, a soup and rice. All food we had was simply spot-on and my partner was the happiest person as she loves Korean food and this is definitely one of the best ones she ever ate. The couple does not speak Polish but a little English however as the dishes are all visible by means of photographs there is no problem with ordering. The menu itself is in Polish and English. The restaurant only serves alcohol-free beer but possibly this may change in the future, have seen with more new restaurants it takes a while before they get the permit to sell alcohol. Definitely a place we will visit more often, that I can guarantee! :-) DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!!More
