I and some colleagues of line made a booking here for a dinner catchup. The staff were nice , the place is quite big and table arrangements caters well for big crowds (18-20), the calamari starter was really nice and the main dish “ The...WAGYU BRESAOLA” was very nice too. Overall good food and staff. Tip: with the wine don’t expect tasters here, if you order it and it’s open you got to buy the whole bottle. Overall, good restaurant with good food and nice service.More

Well, never going back. There's appropriate ways to handle things as an owner. This was not one of them. And given the reviews I have found on other sites describing the manager/owner, this is not uncommon. A verbal stoush erupted between the owner and a...patron dining with his family. Filthy language from the owner in front of clearly terrified children. Both parties were known to each other. The next moment, the owner got physical, with a wine bottle in hand, attempting to smash it over the head of the patron. Wrestling, punching and grappling until both men were surrounded by broken glass, spilling their fight outside and screams from children and partners to stop. All over a $60 query on a bill (read the rest of the reviews on other sites regarding the owner and billing and abuse from the owner). Just don't go. P.S. The pizza was delicious, shame about the vioence.More

0 rating. Stay away. Aggressive owner! Tonight was our first time at Pier Farm. Whilst enjoying our entree the owner launched across the restaurant and began shouting at a fellow patron with a bottle in his hand. Wine and glasses smashed everywhere in front of...small children. It’s was just awful to see. Lovely location but this was just an awful experience. I recommend staying away.More

Be warned, be aware of the angry man. I don’t understand how the man has a business. I will be not returning to line his pockets with my money. Given the way he speaks with customers, I can only imagine how he treats his staff....Inexcusable.More

If you have children, do not bother with this place. We visited for lunch today, with probably only 4-5 other tables occupied while we were there. Food wad nice, if not undercooked and overpriced (I had crunchy linguine). My 2 year old started crying during...the meal (as children sometimes do) and the manager sent wait staff over to tell us to shush her. He then came out and gave me a dirty look while I was trying to deal with the situation. I was told I needed to quiet her because there was a business meeting in progress somewhere. After our meal, I asked to speak with him. He didn't even fully approach me before telling me I should take my child outside if she's crying. I then said he shouldn't bother having children's menus if it is not a child friendly restaurant, to which he told me to 'f**k off' and then walked away from me. I have never seen such poor service in an establishment that presents itself so beautifully and charges the prices it does! As far as the behaviour of management, I've met dogs who are better behaved.More

Quite disappointing service. Walked in 1 hour before closing time, 3 pm on Sunday. Approx. 80% of the restaurant was empty when I asked if we could come in for quick coffee and cake. A very mature staff member said we are fully booked today...for mother’s day lunch.More

Nice food but… a table of 6 for a 60+ Birthday lunch. Staff were pleasant and attentive but we didn’t appreciate the waitress with nose rings, face metal and dagger earrings. It was confronting and not in keeping with the style of the restaurant. Surely...the restaurant has a presentation policy for their staff and at the prices charged this was not acceptable. This is a dining restaurant. Her head metal was offensive as was her comment about a Frothing beer bottle saying” be careful, it’s a boy.” We didnt initially understand what she meant but later realised. Not appropriate. Otherwise, food was good, pricing was high and vista was good being in the Williamstown marina. There is a sign at the side still calling the place The Anchorage but the place is now called Pier Farm? Would love comment from managementMore

This is a beautiful location on the bay. The food is way to expensive and the drinks are way to expensive. $12 for a VB or Carlton Draught is over the top. $39 for pub fish and chips is way over the top and not...a green in sight just fish and chips! Plenty of other options in Williamstown. Ps it would be nice to get a smile when greeted, the manager is a shocker.More

Very disappointing. Extremely poor service, overpriced wines and arrogant owner. We were asked were we having a nice time and we said not really so far. After that we were lepers. Staff could have made up for it but did the opposite. They were embarrassed...and it showed. Food was ok but not great. Would we go again? No. The restaurant is designed to make money not provide a beautiful dining experience. If this wasn’t on The Strand by the water it would and should fail. Time to call in someone who knows how to run a restaurant to help them sort out the problems.More

I think the coffee outlet was leased from the previous owner (The Anchorage). I don't know what the new owners plan to do with it.
