Hello Sam, Sorry to hear of this. When did you dining with us, as I have spoken to the staff and no one recalls a complaint on the brisket being too hard or small? Look forward to hearing back from you. St. LuJa Team

We weren’t too sure when we booked but the food was excellent, the atmosphere great and the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. Loved it.

Service was great but the two things that let the place down is cleanliness and the food - all the meat dishes that were ordered were dry from the brisket to the pork belly and tacos. Cocktails were a hit. Perhaps they were having an...More

Hello, Thank you for visiting our venue. We clean the venue every day so we are a bit confused with the feedback. We are an old style 1930's art deco venue! We hope you will try out the food again soon :) St. LuJa Team

As the number 1 Trip adviser St Kilda restaurant this restaurant did not live up to its reputation. The service was good and the food ok but nothing special.

Enjoyed visiting St LuJa before going out to see the penguins at St Kilda beach. Crowded on Sat night, so might have slowed service some. Enjoyed the barramundi special. Great flavors with the grains and greens. Good wines available. A great local gem.

Description
The Venue A little bit eclectic, a little bit Gansta, a little bit posh and a little bit grungy. Think F. Scott Fitzgerald meets The Dead Rabbit, New York. St LuJa doesn’t really fit into any specific mould as such but is happy to break them all! It is definitely interesting and wholeheartedly quirky and we wouldn’t have it any other way! The Food Allison Hartmire heads up the kitchen at St.Luja. Trained in the French style, Allison has worked from some of Melbourne’s most celebrated chefs, including George Colombaris and Shane Delia. As the previous head chef at State of Grace, Allison cemented her own name in the local food scene for her amazing food and degustation menus and she brings this creativity & flair to the St.Luja kitchen. As well as offering limited degustation’s with paired drinks (see the what’s on page), she has also created an amazing a la carte and bar menu which will delight your senses and make your taste buds dance in the best possible way!
