Coda has been on our list of restaurants to try and with all the anticipation it absolutely did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and not over the top. Great experience and would definitely recommend this place.

Stopped here as I was staying nearby for work and what a place, food is stunning and service friendly and genuine, decent wine by the glass. Food is a fusion but done with style... recommend the lamb cutlet, the duck lettuce wrap and the spring...More

Delicious fusion food with fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation. Really enjoyed chef Adam D’sylva’s selection of various entree, main and desserts. Didn’t take photo of all the dishes. Javanese curry with native greens is a great vegan dish, and crispy chicken are scrumptious with the...More

The service at the restaurant was great but the food was a disapppointment. We dined at Coda to celebrate our anniversary after hearing so much about Coda. The ambience was nice, the food was salty; the serve was small for its price, and supposedly for...More

Dined at 6.15 on a Wednesday night and Coda was extremely busy yet the service was outstanding. Our waiter helped us navigate the menu and we were delighted with our choices.

I was walking around Flinders Lane in melbourne looking for a good place to eat with my colleague. We discounted some of the places and casting my eye down an alley on the side saw Coda. Venue in a basement, low lights. A bar and...More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

Trendy. It's a smart place but casual. Not dressy but trendy. Some of this will depend on your age. I went with my two sons 37 and 40. I wore a jacket with jeans but then I'm a little older. Not sure if this helps at all... More

I had no problem with the way the food looked, so a photo wouldn't help. It was very well presented. It was the way the flavours worked ... or more disappointingly, didn't. But then again, I am often disappointed by... More

Upon opening our doors in 2009, we were thrilled to receive the The Age Good Food Guide's 'HatAward' and have maintained it ever since. Complementing these achievements, we are very proud of Head Sommelier, Travis Howe, who not only won Sommelier of the Year but also picked up the 2013 Wine List of the Year. Nestled in one of Melbourne's iconic laneways (basement Oliver Lane, and Flinders Lane), Coda is located in the busiest and most dynamic culinary precinct the city has to offer. A stone's throw away from the Yarra River, Flinders Street station and Federation Square, the restaurant enjoys hosting a diverse group of diners from frequenting locals who live and work on its doorstep to diners from all over the globe. Upon entering the restaurant you will be greeted by a member of our friendly team headed by Mykal and Kate Bartholomew and Executive Chef Adam D'Sylva. The trio has assembled a dedicated team with highly sought-after experience from many international and Melbourne-based restaurants. Coda's relaxed environment provides a versatile setting for a range of engagements. Whatever your occasion - from a quick pre-football meal, to a long Sunday lunch, business dining or a cosy seat for an anniversary - we look forward to your visit. While bookings are highly recommended, patrons without a reservation can enjoy the full menu at the bar.
