This restaurant has solid reviews on Trip Advisor so we decided to check it out on Tuesday January 23. We were a bit nervous from looking at the menu and wine list on line as choices were somewhat limited. However, our fears were eliminated when...we entered the restaurant and found a chalk board on the wall with a tantalizing dozen daily dishes. Also the wine list on line doesn’t begin to reveal all the treasures that are on the wine list. The restaurant space is warm and welcoming with a large wall mural of the town of Barbaresco making you feel you have been transported to Piedmont. We ordered three items off the daily list: 1. A Zucchini Flower stuffed with a herbed ricotta and mozzarella mixture that rested in a perfectly complimentary slightly tart tomato vinaigrette, 2. Sicilian Rabbit and carrots with a raisin and olive sauce, which had the most delicious sweet broth with the stewed rabbit (a big rear leg and a good portion of the filet). This was a spectacular dish that should be reserved only for people willing to fly to Sicily, and 3. A red beet salad that was a picture of perfection with a variety of wonderful flavours. The delicious sourdough bread here is brought to the table once you are seated. It deserves a review unto itself but is made in-house twice daily for lunch and dinner. Served with the house olive oil it is superb. I know of very few restaurants so committed to the pleasure of their guests that they bake bread in the morning and then again at 4 pm to ensure its freshness for its guests. This is a superb restaurant, serving food cooked with love, served by friendly knowledgeable staff. I have only one word, GO.More

One of the, if not, the best meals we have ever had. The food was absolutely superb. Starting with the Gippsland, pancetta wrapped roast quail on field mushrooms, then mains of Duck Ragu Fettuccine and Rabbit/veal/pork stuffed pasta and the dolce of Apple Tart -...Bellisimo!!! The greeting when we arrived and service was beyond compare, very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Beyond 5 stars!!!!More

We had my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary here tonight, just a small family dinner which could not have better. Beth was beyond fabulous as our server, she was knowledgeable, attentive and personable, The food was just fantastic. From the scallops, octopus and oysters to start...to the mains of steak, goat, risotto and pasta for both adults and kids the food was delicious. I highly recommend the apple tart for dessert and to finish the tawny port. There arent words for how good this meal was, the only regret we have is that we come from Sydney and wont be able to return on a regular basis. A huge thank you to the all the staff for making this a memorable meal and Anniversary.More

Whenever we are visiting Melbourne we make sure we dine at Scopri. From the friendly welcome when we arrive to our farewell we were treated by professional wait staff who knew and loved their job. The food is amazing. Best Italian ever. We shared the...tuna tartare to start. I enjoyed the pea risotto with spanned crab while my friend loved the flavours of the agnolotti. I ordered a glass of champagne while my friend prefers Prosecco. Both were poured at the table. Quality bread with glorious olive oil. We shared a leaf salad, picked from their farm; perfectly dressed. The pannacotta and perfect espresso martini finished off a memorable meal. We had the early seating. 6pm for 2 hours. And never felt rushed. Highly recommended.More

Very upmarket. So many staff! A unique dining experience. Interesting menu, not a huge variety to choose from, tasty small meals. Sadly very sick exactly two hours after meal, and very grateful to be at home and able to go to bed. Did advise the...restaurant, though did not get a reply.More

We ate here again recently for a special occasion and once again loved the food and service. We chose to take along a special bottle of Shiraz which was decanted by the waiter and was delightful! All the food was utterly delicious however the standouts...were the agnolotti and goat, they were sublime! This restaurant is exceptional for a Dinner or Lunch with friends and I have been enjoying the Anthony’s food, wine and hospitality over many years. Earlier this week, I visited Scopri again, with a good friend and was not disappointed. The food is delicious, the...ambience cosy without being congested and the service is excellent. An air of contentment and satisfaction pervades the establishment. Dani, who hails from Monza, attended to our every need without being intrusive. His service was excellent. Water (either tap or bottled) and warm crusty bread with Olive oil is served after the Menu is explained. We enjoyed entrees and mains. The entrees were Quail and Kingfish Carpaccio. Both were beautifully prepared, the Quail wrapped in Prosciutto and the Carpaccio thinly sliced with Olive Oil and topped with Caviar. For mains we both ordered the Goat. It was served with potatoes and peas and the meat just fell off the bones. Mouthwatering! There is an extensive wine list at reasonable prices however, on this occasion we brought our own as we both wanted to try something different, (A 2007 Elizabeth Mount Pleasant Semillon and 2006 Penfolds RWT), which complemented the food perfectly. A reasonable corkage charge is applied if you bring your own wine. Dani insisted on decanting the Red, which proved an excellent idea. While there has been some turnover in staff, the excellent service has been maintained. Anthony runs the business perfectly ensuring a customer experience which continues to exceed expectations, notwithstanding the challenges caused by Covid and it’s aftermath. Definitely, an Italian Classic!More

Absolutely superb again. Second time dining here. Both for special occasion lunches and did not disappoint. Service impeccable, food astounding and atmosphere perfect. The ability to BYO a special bottle from your cellar, despite Scopri having an impeccable wine list themselves, is an added bonus...and welcomed. Quail appetizer and Agnolotti are "must tries", and if you enjoy your meat the Ribeye is superb, succulent and cooked to perfection. Grazie Scopri, we will be back!More
