Wow, loved Luxembourg then its transformation into supernormal canteen but Supernormal, Flinders Lane takes the biscuit for food, staff, overall experience. On a super wet Wednesday night we stumbled into Supernormal, wet, bedraggled and hungry, with no booking..offered a seat at the bar until a table became...More

This place was recommended by a colleague as a must try, we did and we weren’t disappointed. Everything from food to wine from service to atmosphere were just right. I would highly recommend Supernormal to anyone that wants to have a full dining experience. Good...More

A classic modern Melbourne restaurant with hipster waiters, innovative menu (Asian fusion modern Australian), good wine selection and diverse clientele. We attended for a business dinner with visiting guests from Brisbane, Singapore and France, all of which enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Best were the...More

We have eaten at Supernormal several times but this was the first time with a large group for lunch. To make it easy we elected to have the 9 course set menu. It was a great selection that included several of their signature dishes, including...More

OK so it's always interesting to have a chance to eat in one of Melbourne's exotic restaurants, particularly when you are with a group whom have such a wide variety of dietary requirements. It's not that we are special it's just that we are dairy,...More

i was expecting a really good meal since Supernormal is one of the best restaurants in a city known for food. I find the food mediocre at best. The experience was really made better because of the friendly and attentive service. I had banquet menu...More

I’m all for pushing the boundaries. I have eaten at some of the best restaurants in Melbourne and many of the ubiquitous “must try” “cool kids” restaurants in the usual naming dropping culinary hot spots (NYC, London, Hong Kong etc etc) and spent plenty of...More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

I don't know if you could book; I got a bar table w/o waiting. Having been there it's not a place that's worth waiting for.

I have been on both a Saturday and Sunday evening - not super quiet but definitely not what I would call noisy :) Then again, I am one of five children, so maybe my noise threshold is a little bit too high! :P
