Supernormal is a beautiful and slick restaurant/bar situated in the busy Flinders lane, CBD. This restaurant offers Asian style (Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Hongkong style) fusion food. We often pass this restaurant while we're in the CBD and the place is almost full of people...More

We love Supernormal . Great food and great service. We went on a Sunday night as “walk ins” whenever we go to Melbourne we make an effort to come here. The food is always good .

From the games and vending machines, to repurposed minimalist furniture this is a restaurant that is well thought out. The menu additionally so, with first rate items that are astonishingly well made. Not the cheapest on the block, but great.

We ordered some dumplings, snapper and chicken, they are all yummy, the roast chicken is soft, the fish is tasty, the lemon cake is good. Quite reasonable in price.

I hate not having a fixed booking and really rail against queuing, so was apprehensive as we approached. But, a table was immediately available and I started the evening with a really positive mind. Things just got better. We had the excellent Banquet 1 and...More

This was a great find - Asian fusion with exceptional service! Went out of the way to assist with gluten free requirements.

The staff were great, knowledgeable, presentable and attentive. The restaurant itself looks good from a distance, looks great from the outside however for of the furnishings specifically the booths are not of a high quality. The food was interesting, can really appreciate the concept, the...More

The saving grace was the waitress with a vocabulary that would humble the brightest of us. A pity that her descriptions of epheriell food were almost matched in taste, but sadly disappointing in presentation. From the $22 cocktail with no garnish, and the peanut butter...More

My partner and I visited Supernormal for lunch in August while we were in Melbourne for a short holiday. The day we were there was cold and grey and we arrived at the restaurant just as the rain bucketed down outside. The contrast to the...More

I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy this place when I first saw the menu but happy to say I was so wrong ... such a great dining experience! We had the slow cooked lamb which was to die for . My son had his first ramen...More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways

corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

Did not see any. Would doubt it as very much a late night place.

I don't know if you could book; I got a bar table w/o waiting. Having been there it's not a place that's worth waiting for.

I have been on both a Saturday and Sunday evening - not super quiet but definitely not what I would call noisy :) Then again, I am one of five children, so maybe my noise threshold is a little bit too high! :P
