About
In the winery "Janković", whose owners are Luka and Ljubo Jankovic, Black, Rose, White wine and local brandy are produced according to traditional customs. The vineyard was planted in the best soil, which over a hundred of years was covered only by grape vines, and which now has 4,000 of grape vines. Annually we produce about 3,000 liters of wine and 750 liters of grapes brandy from our own vineyards. The Janković family has been cultivating vineyards for a long time, primarily sorts of vranac and kratosia and in addition to these sorts, they have: lisičina and župljanka sorts, which won the first place in Ljubljana in 1979, and then in France as the best white wine. The winery is located in Drušići, which is the most famous wine-growing.

If you’re in Montenegro, please go visit this winery even if it’s a bit out of your way. It is so worth it! Ljubo invited me and my friend into his family home to teach us about wine making and to show us his cellar. His lovely mom prepared us some yummy snacks and we ate fresh fruits that grow on their farm! I actually don’t drink alcohol which was no problem because they served me fresh pomegranate juice made from the pomegranates growing on their farm. We got to spend the afternoon chatting with Ljubo and learned so much about Montenegro in general. It was an amazing experience and the views from the terrace was magical! This winery is run solely by the Jankovic family and by visiting this winery you would be supporting a lovely local family business! Please go… you won’t be disappointed!

When we arrived we were greated by the grandmother of the family. The hospitality was amazing and you feel instantly welcome. We drank graat wines and eat very good local food that kept on coming. Highly recommended.

Sept 2023 business
I enjoyed every single moment of my time here. The hospitality was the warmest I've experienced in Montenegro. This winery and family home are filled with so much love. The view from the terrace was breathtaking, and is paired best with their red wine. I would definitely recommend Winery Jankovic if you're looking for an organic taste of Montenegro away from all the buzz. Thank you, Ljubo, and your mother as well for being such impeccable hosts. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

I happened to be in the area and googled for a wine tasting experience and found this fun place because of the Facebook videos that I saw! Just follow the signs and you will get to this small vineyard in the mountains and you will meet the lovely Jankovic family! This vineyard has been passed down from the grandpa to Ljubo Jankovic now, the 3rd generation owner! The vineyard produces 3 types of wine - red, rose, and white and even brandy! The owner still choose to produce the wine the most traditional and authentic way, without the help of any machineries! Each season they produce about 4,000 liters of wine and about 700 liters of brandy! He will show you where he ferments the grapes downstairs and show you where the wine ages in barrels and where he corks the bottles manually! It’s a family fun business! Once bottled, the wines are mostly shipped off to Norway. If you are lucky and catch them at the off season, you can spend a very lovely afternoon talking story with the owner and meet his two very cute sons! We were fortunate and even got to try some of the amazing organic fruits from his farm! I had the SWEETEST figs! And pomegranate (even fresh pomegranate juice!), jujube, and of course grapes! They also grown their own vegetables! He even let us try some of his family stash of pickled figs? Or fermented or something…but it looked like it was fermented in a glass jar and super sweet! I can imagine putting that in hot tea and using it as a throat soother! For 15 EURS you can also try some authentic Montenegro cuisine of meats, cheeses and veggies! Note though this is NOT a full restaurant but the portions are hearty! For the future, the owner hopes to maybe try some fruit picking tours, farm to table lunches, and maybe even an Airbnb experience! But unfortunately the war on Ukraine hasn’t been kind and lumber to help expand the place went from 160 EURS to now 400 EURS for one cubic meter of wood! I truly loved my experience here and it was by far my favorite moment in Montenegro! I hope you can experience the same warm hospitality when you visit the Jankovic winery!
