We stop at this peculiar establishment everytime we travel to Madrid from Malaga. The food and the attention never fail! Excellent chef and very attentive owner Rafael and the staff. The shop/ restaurant has everything for sale including the table you eat at!!.. Fantastic selection...of local virgin oils that you don't find in many places. Worth experiencing the cuisine! Buen provecho.!More

From outlook, the place looks like a spanish/mexican joint from Clint Eastwood cowboy movies, The food is not spectacular but the shop is interesting with all sorts of collector items. The restaurant is on Autovia Andalucia IV and can be easily missed as one travels...through the highway. We only discovered the place whilst looking for food on our way back from Granada.More

Half way through several hours of browsing the incredible collection of antiques here, we took a glass of wine and the customary free tapas, before we finished buying.....the items we bought, fit in beautifully, by the way, Andrés....and we just asked if they could provide...a vegetarian meal for us, that evening. Not only did the family excel themselves with the service, the food, the variety and the value for money, but we were treated to a degustación of some special olive oils...one of which we bought, of course and are still enjoying. Thankfully, each dish brought to us was only of tapas proportions, but we sampled at least five and every one of them was as good, as innovative and as colourfully presented as we have eaten in many specialist vegetarian restaurants. The items we bought are now a constant reminder of that day and evening; we also know that when we next need something special for the house, we only have to travel to Las Tinajas! Many thanks to Andrés and his staff.More

You must visit Las Tinajas, it's a restaurant, bar, cafeteria, antique and bric a brac shop all rolled into one. It was recommended to us by Manuel at the Palcio del iIndenterdente. He even arranged for Andres, the stores owners son and manager of the...restaurant to pick us and return us to the hotel it was the last evening of our vacation and could not have been bettered. A lovely meal, we started with the wild meats platter, boar, venison & duck cold meats. My wife then a had further roast duck! I had a solomillo de Ternera steak together with a very testy wine and great deserts. The server Luis was attentive and courtiers. A fantastic end to our vacation. Can't recommend this place enough!!More
