A charming spot in the heart of Sneem. The aroma of a bustling kitchen pushes through the doors and it hits you before you even walk through. The menu is short, but offers a diverse set of options. The town’s priest, who is extremely friendly, visits daily and adds to the overall beauty of this lovely Irish eatery. I highly recommend stopping in for at least a coffee when you’re in the Ring.

When we called in for a quick lunchtime snack, we were blown away by the quality of the food on offer. The homemade vegetable soup with a slice of wholemeal soda bread was one of the best things I've eaten since we got here to Ireland. My partner had the toastie special which turned out to be a feast - a beautifully toasted sandwich stuffed with ham, cheese, tomatoes and onion that came with a basket of skin-on chips and a little salad. The beer was good; the coffee was excellent and the service was wonderful!

I visited the Village Kitchen for lunch once indoor dining became available and I was immediately impressed with the safety precautions taken, particularly in terms of the distancing of the tables and the measures observed by the staff. I had the spinach and ricotta ravioli which was tasty and full of fresh ingredients. My partner ordered the burger and he thoroughly enjoyed the presentation of the burger and the delicious flavours. The staff were extremely friendly and gave us a warm welcome. We would like to give our sincerest compliments to Barbara for the Salted Caramel Cheesecake...absolutely divine. We just had to call in again the next day to pick up some more dessert and scones for our onward journey.

Came here as an alternative while staying in Parknasilla nearby for takeaway twice and the food was really good and reasonably priced. Really like the regular burger and the buttermilk burger. Tried the meatfeast pizza and kids pizza which were both OK, it seems like making pizza really isnt their forte but dont let that put you off. Kids nuggets and chips were the best we saw while in Sneem. Gets really busy from time to time hence why we ordered takeaway but would definitely eat here again.

My friend Anne and myself arrived at the Village Kitchen on a wet afternoon, very near closing time. However the staff made us feel welcome and served our order in a friendly and efficient manner.
We both opted for Fish & Chips, which is a simple enough dish but not always well executed, however on this occasion it was supreme, creamy hake in a feather light batter served with deliciously crisped chunky chips and mushy peas, 😋 yummy.

Poured rain both days on my drive around The Ring of Kerry. I found refuse in the quaint little Café of The Village Kitchen both days with a scone, a pot of tea and the warm smiles of the ladies working there. Thank you ladies for making otherwise dreary days sunny!

When a restaurant says home cooked food i often roll my eyes and pass by. The village Kitchen is the exception. Soup was amazing as was the toastie which accompanied it. The highlight was the goat cheese and beetroot salad, one of the best i have ever had - i was really impressed. Dont miss out on this place if you are in the area or passing through.

The turnoff to Kurrajong village from the Bell's Line of Road is well wroth the time and effort. The Village Kitchen is a real gem. A warm welcome by staff, food beautifully presented and great coffee in a lovely setting, with pretty view from balcony out back. Delightful.

We had lunch here today and were disappointed to see that there was almost no space between some of the tables. The back of one person's chair was almost touching mine with no screens in between. What few screens there were seemed to have been cobbled together out of clothes racks and narrow pieces of cheap styrene, offering no protection at all. Profit was definitely being put before health. Would avoid until it's sorted out. Mediocre food included mushy fish and dried out chicken. The place needs a good clean too. But the young waitresses were very pleasant.

Having read a couple of earlier reviews my wife and I were unsure about eating here but on looking in the door we could see plenty of screens between the tables, staff wearing visors and sanitizer well placed. The food here is excellent and is fresh and very hot. Beautiful fish and chips which we were very happy with. The staff were young and were polite and efficient. Well done to all involved and keep up the good work.

Fabulous food and great service with friendly staff. A taste of Kerry. I'm coeliac and had amazing gluten free options, me and my partner shared, mushroom soup, a GF BLT and the unreal lamb stew. It was honestly amazing food, I would highly recommend

We dropped in here for lunch when in the area & were glad we did, as the food was very nice, lovely sandwiches & cakes, very friendly & helpful staff too. It was about half full when we arrived & within a few minutes a group of about 20 arrived but it was no bother to the staff to manage to seat & serve everyone, so well done there as that was on top of trying to get through the orders already placed & there were no delays. Would definitely recommend & would return.

Delicious soup and sandwiches. Perfect lunch stop along the Ring of Kerry in a cute town. Yummy latte and teas too. We especially appreciated that they're open in the off season!

Never fails to deliver. Staff are great, lovely location, and good range of choice on the menu - whether snack or lunch or full meal. Great quality, and friendly service. A staple of any visit to Sneem!
