THE BOATYARD COFFEE SHOP COLERAINE

Called for a light lunch for the first time. My wife had a Pancake Heaven which was delicious. I had a simple toasty of cheese and ham that was very enjoyable. All food freshly cooked and very clean, including the toilets. Ver Covid aware.

A real find!!

En route to the North Coast we stopped here for lunch and we are so pleased that we did! The whole experience was delightful - the warm welcome, the cosy ambience, the meticulous hygiene measures and not least the superb food which was freshly cooked,...beautifully presented and tasted sublime. Quirky dishes like the home made spicy pineapple chutney and the parsnip and peanut soup which accompanied the delicious croque monsieur raised the entire dish to another level. A melt in your mouth apple and blackberry sponge served with lightly whipped fresh cream and custard, followed by excellent coffee, completed one of the best lunches we have had anywhere. David and Lorna, keep up the good work! Your coffee shop is now a permanent fixture on our itinerary north.More

Slightly off the beaten track

Slightly off the beaten track this place can’t be faulted from the staff, food and cleanliness everything is 1st class . Freshly prepared food using the finest ingredients and coffee as it should be I can’t rate this place highly enough.

Would highly recommend

A beautiful little coffee shop with lovely food ,great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The raspberry and white chocolate scones are homemade, delicious and would melt in your mouth. I would highly recommend a visit here.

Fantastic Coffee and Food

We have experienced many high end coffee shops and restaurants throughout the UK, Europe and further afield. This place is fantastic and one of the best for great coffee and fresh food we have experienced. The staff were amazing in particular Lorna in the Kitchen...area and David who made us feel very welcome as soon as we walked in. We will be back over soon and will 100% be visiting The Boat Yard again.More

Wow what a lovely wee place

Had lunch here today...1st time ever in it. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the menu has plenty of options. We both had specials and the food was amazing!! Such a homely wee spot and we will definitely be back again.. highly recommend...this wee place!!More

Delightful wee place with delicious food

I stumbled across this wee coffee shop this morning - what a delight!! Great food in a lovely, friendly, welcoming atmosphere. A great range of meals, well priced, and clearly loved by the locals: it was quite busy. The cream of mushroom soup I had...was delicious; the beef khobze (??) was excellent - I'm just sad I had no room for a sweet! I'll definitely be back.More

Great Breakfast

Dropped in for breakfast while on vacation to the area based on reviews - both online and word of mouth. We were not disappointed. The Ulster fry is perhaps one of the healthiest and tastiest we have had, the service was friendly and efficient, and...the owner was very personable. Look forward to returning on our next visit. Love this place, always busy but have always managed to get a seat . . . Food is fab expect to be surprised . . . A little outta the way but a little outta the ordinary . . . Not your basic sandwich not...your plain choc cake !More

Yes, as far as I can remember. It’s not served on those fancy three layered serving plates, but you’ll get a good pot of tea with a proper tea cup and saucer.
