After reading sone interesting reviews tried this place whilst at the Outrigger. Seafood dishes -crab, sweet and sour fish were ok as was spicey chicken salad. Club sandwich was ok but simple margherita pizza was poor made with a sweet ketchup base instead of purée as was the spaghetti bolognese. Common in Thailand. Desserts were better- pineapple pancakes with honey and a chocolate sauces. Drinks slightly less than hotel. 3760 baht (84GBP) for 7 people which included cocktails. Worth knowing that most places along the beach are closed until September too and only take cash or QR payments. Just average really.

Great food in perfect settings

Been there twice, as the restaurant was situated on the beach next to our hotel. Very polite and accomodating service, wide selection of local dishes as well as more touristy ones. We chose thai cuisine everytime, and weren't dissapointed. Perfect flavors and very well-cooked dishes everytime! The drinks were definately not a bad choice either Will definately recommend... And you can't beat the view!

Lovely restaurant next to our hotel

We stayed at the Manathai hotel and this restaurant is right next door. We ate lunch at the Lom Lay most days, the food was lovely and the staff very welcoming. Nice cold beer at much lower prices than the hotel beach bar too!

It's not Thai food

Let's start with the Plus and the only good thing. Great Beachfront. Minus: Food is not authentic at all. They cook you Farang Taste. Food not spicey, no taste. If you wanna have real authentic thai food, you might go eat at the Hotel own Restaurant of Manathai. Also this place is overpriced. Bad experience

Food for the poor - everything floats in oil. What they call seafood is three prawns, two squid rings and that's it... ))) We ordered Tom yam, it wasn't for Tom yam it had to be called mushroom soup, because instead of seafood, it had a bunch of some incomprehensible mushrooms, more like oyster mushrooms. The worse restaurant on that beach!

The worse restaurant on that beach! Fruit Shakes contain much water, no passion fruit at all! Stuff try to cheat for money. The food is not delicious. The only plus is that situated nearby. I can make such conclusion because have visited all local restaurants around that beach and have been not once in Khaolak! Totally not recommend!

Good food, but….

Really good food, but……. Very slow service and staff were actually quite rude. We were r twice because it was next door to our hotel but the food took so long to arrive and they were so rude I wouldn’t go back. Shame as the food was actually very good.

Great beach side restaurant

Great value menu set on the beach. We ate here a number of times, the quality of the food and service was superb, the bar prices are very reasonable. All set on the beach over looking some fantastic sunsets

Good value decent food

Staying at the nearby Avani+ and went here for lunch on the beach. Food was decent (infact the chicken satay was excellent) big portions and exceptional value. We went back again for sundowners-they do a great Tom Collins for 180 baht!

Terrible service

Great Beach Restaurant
