During my one-week stay I had the best meals here. The ambience is great, the service is very friendly and welcoming. A must visit restaurant in Saas-Fee.

Wonderful service accompanied by a great meal in gnarly surroundings. Except the kids playground right next to the outdoor seating - all perfect.

Every time in Saas Fee we visit the Essstube at least once. Usually we take the fillet of beef. This time we had the pulled pork burger and the cordon bleu, which were new on the menu. The quality of the meat was excellent and...the dishes cooked to perfection. Everything is lovely made and presented in a very creative way. The owners always come by the tables to check if everything is fine and even stay for a short chat. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the dishes, so we can't jump on the foodporn train in this review... But at least a picture of a great bottle of wine and the cosy Essstube terrace at night can be found in the attachments. We'll be back soon...More

Very nice experience. Our steaks were very tender and beautifully cooked, and served with excellent vegetables. Very nice staff and the chef is really passionate about his whisky.

It has been a while since I was at this restaurant, Had foie gras and salad as appetizer. Generous portions, well seasoned, creative. Then we all had meet. I don’t know how the owner manages to provide such a piece of meet for descent price,...but it is a great deal! Temperature of the meat was just perfect. Home made béarnaise, potato’s and vegetable, all were simply prepared but exquisite. Thank you Chef and we will be back soon!More

If you are tired of average ski resort restaurants you'll love Esstube. The service is friendly and attentive and the decor is charmingly eclectic. However, it's the food that takes center stage. The offerings are varied, incredibly well presented and absolutely delicious. The ingredients used...are of top quality and prepared by a team who really understand food. I cannot think of a single thing during our meal that wasn't excellent.More

We had a fantastic meal at Essstube. It was delicious and charmingly presented, and the service was terrific. I would recommend booking in advance as you may not get a table otherwise.
