Restaurant of the hotel of the same name with a small terrace overlooking the sea.
All the dishes we took were generally discreet and well plated.
We appreciated the lobster which, according to the waiter, was fresh but we didn't have the opportunity to see the tanks with the live animal.
The dessert disappointed us a bit, we took the lemon chef's cake, but unfortunately not even a hint of lemon.
The cantucci and vin santo at the end of the meal were appreciated.
In my opinion, the wine list needs to be reviewed, because for a place like this, you expect something more.
Overall average value for money.

Their menu has variety of good food! Their pasta especially the carbonara is my fav. Their cottoleta were yummy and we became frequent eaters! Their staffs were all professionals and they get out of their way to please every client.

Having dinner in a amazing place with a great view . The food was excellent also the staff was so helpful and so kind . The best service with the best personal I ever had. I recommend to all who love the sea food

Visit with friends and family on 9/3/2023.
Service was normal, waiters were friendly but the food was a big disappointment.
We ordered four seafood risottos at the price of €22 per dish.
I'm sorry to say it but perhaps they've never tried a real seafood risotto.
The risotto seemed to have simply been sautéed in the pan with butter and in the end the mussels and clams were cold.
The taste of the sea was really far away, I would say non-existent, thank goodness that at least the place is truly enchanting and the sea view is unique.
I wonder how it is possible in a location of a certain level and with prices that are not at all normal to offer such disappointing cuisine.
Really a shame.

We sat a table which was not reserved, after ten minutes a local man arrived and complained that we were sitting there and the restaurant staff made us move tables. Not only that, but we even had to ask for menus despite the locals getting menus and their order taken straight away. The portions of food were so small and it's incredibly expensive for what you get. Wouldn't recommend it.

we went for our wedding anniversary and had a lovely meal. we ordered from the waiter's recommendations and we were not disappointed. we had some amazing raw fish and shellfish followed by a selection of grilled shellfish. the service was top with all the staff super keen to assist. the price was very reasonable at €120 for 2 including a bottle of wine and a very high end list of ingredients (oysters, carpaccio, octopus, huge prawns, etc). thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would go again in a heartbeat!

Came here to eat lunch and dinner over two days. Both meals were excellent, service was very good, and it had a nice location close to the ocean. The employees were very helpful with selecting courses, and were very attentive throughout the meal. Some of the best meals we have had during our holidays in Italy.

The place is well situated and the food is Ok, nothing exceptional. Price is within the standards. What's really bad is the service. The waiters are totally un prepared and really not friendly.

Mi preme allo stesso tempo sottolineare quanto sia poco utile e sospetta una recensione come la sua: poche righe, non dice cosa ha mangiato.
Per quanto riguarda il servizio mi spiace si sia trovato poco bene, ma sinceramente essendo sempre presente in sala ho grossi dubbi sulla veridicità di quanto da lei affermato.
L'aspettiamo nuovamente per farle provare nuovi piatti durante tutto l'arco dell'anno.

Looking for a dinner at Punta Ala we found this beautiful hotel with restaurant. Having kids with us, wanting to eat sooner than usually, they didn't have problem with it. Really nice setting in pinetta at the see. Watching the sun goes down. Food was ok. Nothing special. Service above average.

What is really nice about this restaurants is a sea view that was magnificent even that rainy evening so I may only imagine how beautiful it could be during the bright summer evenings.
The restaurant itself is very average, comparing to the general level of the restaurants in Toscana. I can't say something bad about the food: it was good but without that charm you find in the Toscanian trattoria. We have ordered one regular mixed salat for my wife, pasta and filetto for me and a desert at the end. All that was accompanied with a glass of local wine and a bottle of mineral water. The bill was around Euro 75 that could be reasonable somewhere else in a nice restaurant but for Bussola it was too much.
The strives was good and that made our dinner good and remarkable.

Pleasant setting on the veranda on the beach of Punta Ala bay on the ground floor of the hotel of the same name.
Courteous staff, simple yet fresh cuisine, attentive and helpful service make this the ideal place to spend one or more relaxing weekends, away from the usual destinations.
