Simply overpriced. The baba-ghanouj modified version is not appealing at all. The restaurant structure is amazing. The service is fairly good.

The service was poor food was very hot in terms of pepper and spice. What added to the bad experience was the mediocre wine lost local and third class with only one choice Batroun Mountains. The waiter bragged that the winery owner was dining here...also. Actually they didnrlt understand that the only guy benefitting is the winery owner but the clients are running away from the bad wine therefore the restaurant losing. He just slammed the cheque and was unhappy. Shame such a great hotel has these junior mishaps.More
The restaurant is very classy, and it is situated in a very good historical spot in Batroun. The food is good as well.
We dont have any comment on any of the dishes we ordered. All has the right taste. Some has a very nice tasty deviation from the traditional Lebanese sea food taste. Clean nice presentation.
This is one of the best places to visit in Lebanon and the best in Batroun: Delicious food, nice view, and good service.
A beautiful genuine restaurant, rich Lebanese culture architect with a wonderful view over the Bay. That’s the major credit. Service; is really low no matter what you read in other reviews. People serving have no clue about hospitality, smiling, rules of servicing a table, or...even enough attendance to the guests. Food; is standard quality, but with poor balance of salt and spices. Their pride for the Aubergen is a failed engineering for the wheel. Not a success at all. Fish Prices are almost double to similar Restuarant class. (The owner claims to hand fish himself. LOL ) False claim; Serving a local water brand under S.Pellegrino and charging accordingly. (Even in the note.) Water Melon; served was off taste and over priced proving no quality control conscious. I heard this restaurant has been a success. Shame it’s not to up to success standards! Brief; It’s not a quality food vs cost Restuarant. Maybe good for a drink.More
We felt very fortunate to find this excellent restaurant on a recent visit to Batroun - so much so we ate there on consecutive nights. The food was the real star - we lparticularly liked their version of moutabal - the smoked aubergine. We also...loved the prawns wrapped In vermicelli and the squid. They have a nice wine list focused on wines from the Batroun area. If you can, sit on the terrace, as the internal space is rather cavernous and soulless.More
We were so lucky to find this restaurant 😀 After some sightseeing in the area, we found this gem: it was an awesome experience. From all the meals we had ordered - green beans, breaded calamari, burgers, various salads, hummus, aubergine dish - everything was...fresh, well cooked and perfectly seasoned. Not a single disappointment. The best of the best was for all of us the breaded calamari and the green beans with toasted almonds and soy sauce - wow! This has been so far the very best restaurant on our trip (already 7 days in Beirut with day trips to all parts of the country). We will certainly return.More
No words can express how delicious and artistically cooked the food at this restaurant! From the raw fish dishes to the shrimps coated in pasta ... with this delicious wine called 7 , organic one ! Not forgetting also the fact that you are well...served ! An experience to remember!More
So we are not used to going outside metropolitan Beirut for meal, but this unexpected trip North to beautiful Batroun made us discover this gem. Great view on the small fishermen’s harbor, great setting, amazing food and very nice host. Overall package is a must....Now we will tend to think the road to Batroun is just so easy. Def will come again abd again. So much on the seafood very unique special menu yet to try!!More
Bistr'eau restaurant is just one of the best place to eat in Lebanon. I went there aleready 4 times. Products are very fresh and tasty and the Chef and the staff are really friendly. Also, I really enjoyed the situation, just in front of the...port where you can see the sunset, quiet and peaceful. Do not hesitate, just go!More
The best location, and probably the best seafood around. We had different types of seafood, including a fresh 1 kg snapper (advise you to take a look at the kilo price first as it ended up with quite a bill...). October is really low season,...and we were the only guests this weekday evening. Still very professional and attentive service.More
This restaurant offers the best sea food in batroun. The food is very tasty especially the grilled aubergine and the fish is fresh and delicious. A must try restaurant.
Bistr’eau was very quiet (even though it looks like a place for tourists). The view is nice but not the best in Batroun and the food is average.
The food is good but a bit expensive. Good wine list of local wines at reasonable prices, but far from cheap. The service, as in many Lebanese restaurant, is a mixture of a lot of staf but many of them doing nothing. They allow smoking...inside the restaurant. Ashtrays everywere on the table.More
