I contacted the Spanish city for advice on afternoon tea for a special occasion- Chris from the bookings team contacted me and gave great advice. We attended the beautiful building and were given a window view overlooking the fabulous Whitley Bay …. Clear sunshine and...mesmerising views were a bonus . We were looked after by Jade who was first class . The afternoon tea was delicious and cocktails enhanced the experience. Thank you so much for making our day so special. The whole experience was fabulous-the team at the Spanish city 1910 are excellent !!!More

Booked afternoon tea for a dear old friend who has walked past here but never been in as the prices looked to much. We had a great experience and the waiter Ainsley could not do enough to make it a very enjoyable day he even...took photos. The food it’s self was amazing the fruit scone is sooo nice with the jam and clotted cream. One area of concern I would of liked an extra knife for the scone section and then fresh plates for the dessert section but there only minor issues. Overall a great day. But here’s the best bit you don’t need to spend a fortune in there what with a pot of tea costing £1.95 and a scone about £3 to sit there and watch the world go byMore

Service on Saturday was fantastic. Tall, blonde waiter was very accommodating and friendly (sorry didn’t catch his name) however all staff were marvellous! Food was delicious! Would love to go again!

Received vouchers as Christmas gift and decided to use them on our wedding anniversary. The afteroon tea included a great selection of teas and instead of a plate of boring sandwiches there was also a delicious slice of quiche and a luxury sausage roll. It...was just a perfect way to spend our anniversary and to top it all the sun was shining. Highly recommended.More

First visit for Sunday lunch decor and views excellent. My starter Ham and Black Pudding didn't have a lot of taste, my wife's Salmon fishcakes were tasty though. However my main meal of Lamb and Yorkshire pud and veg was very tasty. I especially liked...the roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese. My wife's Steamed Cod and broccoli was nicely cooked and moist. The service was excellent, Scott and Eve in particular, were very attentive and polite.More

Went for early evening meal. Had options from the early fixed price menu. All excellent. Service was pleasant, efficient and discrete. Views over Whitley Bay to St Marys lighthouse are excellent. Also good to just watch people below walking by. Select but friendly ambience. Very...impressive.More

Hi. There are disabled toilets on each floor of Spanish city, and a lift also. The toilets are not within the 1910 restaurant itself but on the same level through the doors in the champagne bar.
