Really sad to post this. The place was recommended to us and looking at their web site, and the “awards” they’d received, we were rather raising our expectations. It was an anniversary dinner. Firstly, I must say that the staff were friendly and attentive and...appeared generally willing to help. The food? Well the tiger prawn starter wasn’t, the prawns which arrived were o more than the regular sizes available from Iceland. That’s the high street store not the country. One of them still had their “dirts” and so wasn’t cleaned and prepared as you’d expect. The duck pate and bread were tasteless. No flavour and certainly nothing to suggest it was fresh. The lemon sole was ok but it was supposed to be tempura. The thickness and consistency of the batter resembled our local chippy! The chips I’m sure were McCains. The dessert, ah yes, the crepe Normandy as it was described. Well it was supposed to be the usual “thin” crepe, apple wedges served with a flambéed calvados licquer. I never saw a flame other than that emanating from my ears! Ridiculous. The crepe was thick and had a cardboard texture. My wife found some plastic in her meringue and so we gave up. We had a bottle of house champagne, paid the £163 bill and left, no fuss. We’re not into fuss, we are fortunate to be able to experience fine dining and do know when the standards drop. We just won’t return. Such a shame but don’t be fooled by the French language, accents and purported ambience. Seriously the Sebring staff try and are in the main friendly but even the surroundings need some attention, like dealing with the view from the tent. A couple of hundred pounds spent dressing the view would make a bud difference. But… the place was full and it definitely felt like the mantra was get em in, get em fed and get em out. With so much traffic I fear the management has lost its mission and is perhaps (my opinion) trying to get back what they’ve lost during the lockdowns and whilst I fully understand why they might do this it most certainly feels like the place is processing its patrons, living or relying on a past set of accreditation’s and ignoring the basic principles of quality and service. We’ll not be returning.More

This is our go to restaurant. Our family once a month gather together to have wonderful prepared food by the Chef at Guildhall Tavern. We like everything on the menu! The mussels are yummy. The oysters very good. Cheese Soufflé a must have. Dover Sole...with lemon butter is delicious. My favorite is the Scallop Mornay with shrimp and crab in it. The atmosphere is very nice and service very good. The staff takes care of you well. And the owners always checks on you through out your meal.More

Sorry to say I was very underwhelmed about my visit here. I had been recommended and had high hopes but it was just average. Food was just about ok but definitely nothing special. Sorry but I wouldn’t go back - too expensive for sure for...the quality.More

We had pre booked the Guildhall Tavern before travelling to Dorset for a short break and so glad that we did. We were seated in the conservatory ad despite it being a Tuesday evening it was very busy. The staff were extremely friendly and very...attentive but not overly so. As for the food, it was stunning. Beautifully presented, well presented and simply delicious. I had skate wing and it was superb. If you are staying in Poole then the Guildhall Tavern is a must.More

We booked back in May and could only get in for lunch. The food is exceptional, we had as mains turbot and sea bass, both were well presented and tasted delicious, as were the starters and deserts. The service was second to none, so friendly...and inviting. If anyone is coming to Poole in the next few months and want a meal to remember, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.More
