I met very nice people in Austria except at this restaurant. A waiter (with many tattoos) was rude from the start, he behaved like we were annoying him, moaning when ordering. He sprayed cleaning liquid on us on purpose. I did not enter in an...argument with him to keep positive atmosphere for my vacation time. In other circumstances it would have been a different approach. We observed the same terrible attitude we other people. This guy should be fired immediately as he ruins customer experience.More

Have been in the restaurant with a young Ukrainian lady on 8 of march …Food was excellent but more important was the kindness of the lady who took care of our table , Gertrude ( Hungarian…) . Thank you so much for your kindness and...generosity . Will not forget . We arrived safely in Geneva next day .More

Italian bar and restaurant. We wanted a simple meal before calling it a night. We nearly ordered two pizzas, but the waiter warned us that the pizzas were huge, and recommended half each. He was right - half each was fine. Decent pizzas. Just what...we needed. They checked our immunization status.More

It was our first night in Salzburg after 5 days in Vienna. Even though it was September, it was cold and damp outside. We stopped in a traditional Austrian restaurant for something hot to drink/eat after a 2+ hour walking tour. The restaurant was fine...but a bit touristy so we made our way to L’osteria. We waited 10 minutes at the bar, drinking a nice Montepulciano and a Brauwerk, before we were shown to our table. We ordered pizzas which were thin and huge and very good. When we were done, we told our server that it was our 35th anniversary. A few minutes later, she showed up at our table with the hostess and four glasses of champagne. I showed them our wedding picture from 1986 and they were so lovely that they didn’t make fun of my very dated wedding dress. There were laughs and hugs and our hearts were full to have been treated so festively. It’s a busy place full of locals and our server found time to make it special for us. Don’t miss it.More

We actually visited L’Osteria twice, so the key to liking the place is to order the right thing(s). The place appears to be quite popular and sometimes there is a line to get in. We sat both inside and outside and when the place is...full the inside seating is less preferable as it gets crowded, hot and the patrons are being seated without any regard to social distance (in fairness the vaccination status or PCR tests are required to be allowed inside, as is the case in all establishments). If the weather allows seating outside is a better option. As far as food goes we have had a mixed experience. During our first visit we had risotto, quinoa salad and orecchiette. Out of these only orecchiette is worth mentioning, although quite fatty. The risotto was bland and uninspiring (the portion was quite big though) and the quinoa salad was nothing to write home about. As we dined there we noticed that pizzas are quite popular among the patrons and we decided to check them out next time. I guess the popularity of the place largely hinges on their pizzas. The crust is very thin and crispy, the toppings are numerous. The size of their pizzas is gigantic and one would be advised to share it between two persons. We did just that and we enjoyed our meal a lot. We also would like to complement them on their cocktail Hugo which is very refreshing, crisp and light. Excellent option for a warm evening outside! All in all on the sum of two visits it’s a good place, we would just stick to what they do best - pizzas.More

The pizza was nothing special at all and some employees were really rude. One in particular was talking extremely fast. And when she came with a plate for the pizza and asked “who is going to have the pizza?”, I answered “we are sharing” and...she turned and rudely said “THANKS FOR TELLING ME”. With this she went away!More

While in Salzburg we had dinner at Pizza Osteria. Apparently this is a well known restaurant for pizza, so keep in mind you will probably need to wait for about 15-25 minutes especially if the weather is nice. It has a nice atmosphere on a...busy street. The pizza was good, the dough was great, the filling was a bit oily. Keep in mind that the size of the pizza is very big, it’s to be shared by two people. The Tiramisu desert was also good. The staff were trying their best to serve everyone as fast as they could although it was very crowded. We were served by a kind waiter ( a Greek) who kept his nice spirit and smile though the place was packed !More

If you are unable to complete orders, don't take them, and if a mistake is made at least have the decency to inform the customer straight away, enabling them to order elsewhere.More
