I spent several days in Mestia before moving up the hill to Ushguli. As anyone who spends time in Georgia knows, Georgians aren't keen on breakfast before 1000--if at all! ERTI opens at 0800, with very good coffee and a small but nice selection of breakfasts, including scrambles, bagels with chicken or salmon, and even a full English breakfast. The ladies who work there are friendly, funny and attentive, and even the music is nice. I particularly like the fact that they are kind to the dogs outside, and share "leftovers" with them!

Erti Kava is the best specialty coffee in Georgia, full stop. Friendly atmosphere, great service. They source the best coffee bean, best tea and they've also added breakfasts recently. I can't admire the chef enough, bagels are masterpiece! I'm not sure I can get anything close to this anywhere else.

we frequented this coffee shop here and especially in Tbilisi and this one especially is incredible. coffee shops in Tbilisi are common and you can get great coffee but in more remote places like Mestia, being able to wake up and roll down to Erti Kava before a day-long hike was SUCH a joy. this location especially is SO centrally located, has great service, fantastic music flowing out of its doors and they have such comfy seating outside where you can just relax and enjoy a coffee with the views before or after a long day on your feet. i should mention again the brilliant service. they're all wonderful. i think i met them all since i was there a few days. This spot will hold a special place in our hearts.

A coffee oasis in Svaneti… after three days on the trail having breakfast here was beyond a treat. The coffee rivals anything you can find in Tbilisi. And great carrot cake too. Chilled music playing in the background made this the most perfect coffee shop.

Georgia, unfortunately, has few places with delicious coffee. But this is one of them.
It's expensive. But I'm putting in five stars because the place is totally worth its money. It's a quality, delicious cappuccino. Delicious big breakfasts. Responsive and friendly staff (what to look for in Georgia by day with fire). They speak English and Russian (Georgian, probably too - we don't speak, so we didn't check). The check is in Russian.
This place is made by expats - and done very well and with soul.
Thank you for having a nice time having breakfast with your friends.
PS Photo of food, looks like I don't have any left. Apparently, it was so delicious that it ended up being photo-less 😅 But the food is really delicious, the serving is decent and no "paper" plates/glasses - just ceramics and full appliances! 💚

Ertikava was my place to go for coffee and pastry while I'm in the town of Mestia. Legit and great taste of coffee beans. Their carrot cake is fantastic even the banana cake. The crew/ladies were very friendly, supportive and approachable. They were very nice to me like a friend noh. Visited the shop 2x a day (morning and late afternoon). Lovely place and thanks for the postcard, I'm keeping it.

Very clean and fresh ambiance. Coffee and herbal teas were very good. We went a couple of time's and on one occasion the guy serving was first class. The wooden seats are not too comfortable unless your sitting at the window bar area. The carrot cake was very good.

this is very cute place. very calm atmosphare, if you come in Mestia you have too try. 100% recomended. Girls who is a owner is fro Kazakhistan she know Georgian language. she is so sweet
