About
I am the new owner of Fish and Chips Wagon since 2020 during the pandemic, and we have changed the recipe when we acquired the wagon. We are serving cod fish and atlantic wolffish freshly caught from the atlantic ocean. Our Fish and Chips Wagon is located in Miðbakki, just on the harbor, beside the Skating Rink and opposite Reykjavik Art Museum. Come and enjoy our fresh and crispy fish with fries, fish rolls vegetable rolls, and cold drinks

I recommend this Fish and chips when you visit Reykjavik. Their fish is really good and very tasty and flavorful. We tried also the fish rolls and it was amazingly delicious, It was my first time to have fush rolls

The best fish and chips I’ve had. The fish was delicious, cooked crispy, but tender and juicy, and best of all, not at all greasy. The chips were big, crisp, and also not at all oily. I had fish and chips at another place a few days after The Wagon, and the difference was astounding. I will be going back The Wagon before I leave Iceland!

Good for starters, weak for dinner. Cold main course. Innovative in wine service (natural and according to availability on the day - there is no menu), but without someone qualified to explain the type of wine and the concept to the customer. Advice: if you want to close on time, don't serve anything half an hour before, or you have to let the customer finish consuming what they paid for. Any other behavior is unprofessional. I hope they evolve. But I won't repeat it.

Probably the best fish and chips I’ve tried. After a long stroll around downtown we found this gem and we so love it. The food was freshly done plus the staffs were very sweet and friendly.

Forget the bad reviews. The fish here was really fresh an tatses sooo yummmy!!
It was by accident that i pass by this small wagon. I was hungry and gave myself a chance to try this. I was surprised to experience such a yummy fish and chips like a high end restaurant! Staff were friendly and i don't need to wait for the food to be served. Thank you for the nice food and service.

If you're looking for a quick and affordable bite this is the the place! Traveller on a budget here and was looking for something to eat when I stumble on this little gem. Surprisingly the food was really good for the price. The fish and produce are fresh. The staff were really friendly and an eyecandy too!

We had almost two weeks here and back to Reykjavik. We had a little stroll on the harbor and tried the Fish and Chips. Its more than good. Not your traditional fish and chips but it was really the best. Very tasty. You can easily spot this truck on the harbor.
