I decided on their Indian sliced lamb burger. With crunch fried potato shavings and a white sauce this burger was very good. It was very tasty and while waiting I and another customer saw their chicken salad with Lotus chips. It looked delicious.

Amazing tasting food great atmosphere good drinks and you can sit and watch the chef in action!
We were looking to taste as much food as we could during our stay in Iceland so the small plates were perfect for us. Best tasting food we’ve had thus far a great range of flavours on a single dish !
The chef introduced himself to us but I’m afraid a few too many beers has affected my memory! He’s wife is the owner and you could tell the price he took in his food . Will return!

Great food and amazing service! I had a temporay lapse in brain function and ordered a meat dish despite being a vegetarian. The wonderful guys at Funky Bhangra pitied me and brought me their veggie options free of charge, bless them🥰

Situated in the Foodhus, this is one of a series of restaurants and bars where you can order in one place, go to a drink at another and a pager they give you tells your food is ready. André looked after us very well-beer crisp & fresh but Indian/Sri Lanka food with an Icelandic twist was excellent albeit we only had 2 plates. Highly recommended

My wife and I visited the funky Bhangra on a recent trip to Reykjavik Iceland. The chef and owner jasmine was warm welcoming full of smiles and friendly chat.
The food itself was incredible! It was an Indian cuisine with a Scandinavian twist which was prepared and cooked in front of us.
I would recommend the nan bread chicken tower, which chef jasmine personally advised the best way to eat the dish to experience all the wonderful flavours. I would also recommend the butter chicken with herb salad pickled cabbage and coconut rice, this dish was outstanding.
If you are looking for incredible food with a warm inviting atmosphere, you must try the Funky Bhangra 10/10.
Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

Fantastic food. Owner explained the Scandinavian/Indian fusion menu exceptionally well and the flavor combination worked like a dream. Owner was also knowledgeable about other great food recommendations in Iceland and led to a second fantastic meal! Would recommend and come back again.

If you’re in Reykjavik give this place a try, the food is amazing. It’s located in the Posthus Foodhall, the vibe in the place is great but Yasmine and her husband make it a great experience. We had the Bhangra lamb burger, it was delicious but every dish that came out looked fabulous.

Had the lamb chorizo kebab, it was absolutely amazing; it was a very tender cut of meat cooked to perfection. Had the unique experience of meeting the owner Yesmine and had a great conversation with her, so nice and caring. Would absolutely recommend this stop on your Icelandic trip, you won’t regret it.

We’ve very much enjoyed our visit to Iceland and had several top notch meals. However, our meal at Funky Bhangra on our last night in Iceland topped them all! The lamb and chorizo skewers was not like any Indian meal I’ve had and the sweet potato and sauce was a nice compliment to the meats. The butter chicken and garlic naan was also fabulous. The service couldn’t have been any better!!!

Fantastic place where we could have chosen sushi, pizza, tacos or drinks or if we wanted we could have both had totally differen menus. We chose Funky Bhangra and their chargrilled chicken skewers. Thoroughly enjoyed them washed down with a nice beer (one low alcohol). You place your order, pay, you get a buzzer, find a place to sit and go up for your food when the buzzer goes. Wished we'd found it earlier in the week!

The reviews are not wrong! This place is as incredible as Owner & Chef Yesmine Olsson. We accidentally came here looking for Indian food and felt , well this is inside a Foodhall, we will have options . Then for 5 successive days, we came here, not for the options but for this. The food is just incredible. It’s not Indian food but a Scandinavian take on Indian food, and it’s a great take. We are Indians and live in the US, and I do not get to experience such fusion food anywhere in NYC or US. This one is a find. We also bumped into Yesmine, and shared how much we liked her work, and that it might be the foodhall setting that brought us to Funky Bhangra , but it’s Funky Bhangra that brings us to food hall each single day!
Also the staff is awesome! There were a couple of other Indian restaurants we had went prior but none of them were nearly as good! I think this one’s a Michelin star worthy place!

We came to the food hall where this is located for dinner because we didn't want a big meal and we stumbled upon the Funky Bhangra. We decided to give it a try. We were so glad that we did. It is some of the best Indian food we have ever had and the best meal that we ate in Iceland. Everything was SO fresh and tasty. It was obvious that the chef took great care in making each dish. We'd highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic fusion of Icelandic and Indian cuisine. The lamb burger I had was perfectly balanced between spicy and sweet and crunchy, from the pickled veggies to the curry that had been mixed into the patty itself (!) to the super-thin fried potato strings on top. And it came with these crispy naan chips that were such a brilliant idea I wondered that no one had done them before (at least, I haven't encountered them).
I definitely recommend stopping by here for lunch or dinner if you're in Reykjavik!

Being and Indian definitely avoid Indian Places. But in the Food Hall or as someone said a high end Food Court this was a good choice.
The Asian Lady Chef married to an Icelander running the show was good.
The food was very tasty and she made an effort to give us fusion food with taste of what icelanders like.
Loved it
Had a wonderful discussion on what she could add to her menu
She should definitely add some dishes like Beetroot Tikki and Paneer Tikka with a twist
Overall awesome

This. This is what you need on your stop in Reykjavik. My friends and I stopped in after a food tour for a quick beer. We were pretty satisfied after the food tour...but when we smelled and saw the food being passed out, we decided to split the lamb/chorizo kabab. And boy...am I glad we did.
The food at Funky Bhangra transcends 'a good meal'. Come here to experience flavor fusion cuisine- a menu creatively blended and a chef who absolutely knocks it out of the park. Beautifully presented and deliciously aromatic food which, after the first bite, fall second to the explosion of flavor which are both familiar and foreign at the same time and come together to deliver bite after bite. Outstanding.
And yes, I got a dish to go for supper🙃
