Te og Kaffi Lækjartorgi is a walk-in café located in the centre. It belongs to a small Icelandic chain of coffee houses and is popular with locals, by-passers and tourists.
You can have your coffee inside or, weather permitting, at the terrace. The café offers coffee & tea, sandwiches and pastries. Service is efficient and friendly.
Visiting Reykjavik on a sunny September day we spotted the café and went for a cappuccino & a latte macchiato. We also had a toasted bagel with ham & cheese. The coffee is made with an Italian coffee machine and consequently the coffee was good.
When you fancy a good coffee Te & Kaffi is the place for you.

Great coffee and quick service! I would compare this coffee shop to Starbucks (and I mean this in a good way!). Pretty straightforward menu with some food options (pastries, sandwiches, etc.). My flat white was delicious, and although it was for takeaway, they still included a cute foam heart on top.

Called in here for lunch . They had Earl Grey tea, superior blend, which was OK if a little cooler than I would prefer and a Cappuccino which again a little cool but Ok . To eat I had a warm caprese sandwich which was very good and also a biscuit sandwich which was OK. The place is a little cramped for seating, and some of the seats are high “bar stool” types. The drinks need to be hotter

I stopped by for my morning coffee today and unfortunately, the staff charged me for a matcha latte instead of the regular latte I ordered. They offered to replace it when I pointed it out, but out of politeness, I said it was fine. However, the matcha latte wasn’t that great either.

I don't often like to give 5 starts as I believe a venue is punching well for a 4 star review (nothing in this world is perfect) however I will award the mighty6 5 stars for Re & Kaffi.
In my 5 days in Reykjavik, this was by far the best latte I had, not bitter, not to weak, just smooth and delightful.
Lovely staff and a cosy décor to finish the job.
Grab a cup!

Came here after the city tour for a mid-morning snack. Enjoyed a hot chocolate and people watching (local families dropping in for a break from Christmas shopping). Nice decor and good views from the window of the parliament.

Great place, friendly staff, and really good latte. Not too hot, smooth..just right. Seating is excellent, good power outlets in the “laptop” area. Nice setup all around.

We had coffees and desserts - a muffin and cheesecake. Staff were fantastic, venue was warm and relaxed. Definitely a cool spot.

Stopped by to get a breakfast, place looked nice and busy. It wasn’t that great. The food was dry and service was awful.

Nice coffee location and such great variety of great christmas drinks happiness in a cup is how i'd describe it you must check out Grýla'S coofee or the frappó in the summer an great beverage it's just so many good things there the cookies are nice and they also support some charities so that's cool! :) and cozy place to sit and enjoy looking out the nice big window in a cozy small but not too small restaurant and enjoy the nice coofee happiness in a cup! :)

I went there today around 4, and there was an Icelandic barista with red hair. He was absolutely helpful and tried to do his best. He is the best Icelander ever I have seen since I came here!

I would compare this to a Starbucks back home. The coffee is good but not exceptional. Yet when it's cold and wet outside it is a nice place to come in and get dry with a cup of something warm. People are very nice and friendly though.

The coffee isn't anything amazing here, similar to your average Starbucks out of Iceland. But the staff are incredibly friendly, and speak brilliant English. Would return again!
