If you're looking for an early morning breakfast, like before 8 am, this is the place to go to. While most breakfast places don't open til 8:30 or 9, the Sandholt is open right around 7 am. You can have coffee, bread, sandwiches, pastries or...More

Wanted to try this bakery after reading all the good comments and seeing it on a show on Foodnetwork. I had a cinnamon-bun ( perhaps the spelling isn't quite correct) and it was the best I ever ate. The filling was so rich, lovely and...More

We had our first breakfast in Iceland here. Delicious pastries and beautiful coffee drinks, all reasonably priced.

We stopped in for lunch and ordered the croque madame and quiche, and both were excellent. They have sparkling water on draft, incredible bread and fantastic take away pastries, desserts and cookies. We bought the chocolate chip sable cookies to take on our road trip...More

Fantastic baked products. The bakery is situated just off the main tourist strip and has an inviting window of baked goods. We purchased a sesame seed pretzel and a cinnamon roll both of which were super tasty.

Reviewed on the pastries alone, we'd probably give this a perfect score, however having sampled the sandwiches, we'd be more inclined to give a very respectable 4/5. Nothing against the sandwiches, but they didn't quite live up to the pastries, which are lavishly presented and...More

Fried eggs cooked perfectly. They also have really good pastries and bread you can buy from the bakery. Highly recommended

Iceland is beautiful but freezing. I was so cold and so in need of a restorative cup of tea and a slice of bread. Sandholt was PERFECT. Nice mellow music, beautiful lighting, a window seat and the most amazing cup of tea I've had in...More

Like most food in Iceland, it's expensive. 2 coffees, 2 cappucino and two muffins was about $30 USD
