We stayed at the Grandi hotel across the street and traded our complimentary breakfast for eating here at Brikk everyday. We tried their sourdough breads and sandwiches, pastries, desserts, coffee and hot chocolate. We loved visiting Iceland and Brikk was a daily part of our great experience.

We came here 3 times to buy pastries to take away and they were delicious (… which is why we came back so often). It’s pure soulfood with a perfect dough, sweetness, some nuts… fantastic. The place itself looks nice as well, cosy cafe.

This bakery was across street from our hotel in the Grandi District. Glad didn’t find it earlier As would have put on many pounds. The pastries were delicious as was the grainy bread that came with companion’s tomato soup.

Incredible cakes and pastries in a really stylish bakery near the harbour. We had cinnamon roll with marscapone topping and Nutella pastry with coffee. The staff are super friendly too and speak great English. Can’t recommend enough. We took home multigrain bread for sandwiches which was absolutely gorgeous.

Popped in here earlier as I wanted a quick lunch and it was next to my hotel. Wow…. Wish I’d tried it earlier in my trip. Had a tasty bowl of spicy red pepper soup with the bread of the day - olive & pepper. On the side some avocado paste rather than butter. All delicious and great portion size. Really chilled atmosphere.
I’ve bout one of their Nutella pastries to try later…. Couldn’t resist!

This cafe was near to our apartment in Reykjavik. Popped in for a coffee and decided to have lunch. We had tomato soup and bread. It was so much more than that. Soup was tasty and much better than many tomato soups I have had. There was a choice of bread, I had jalapeño and my husband the honey bread. With it you had a choice of sandwich fillings. We chose cheese but there were so many to choose from. The coffee was great too. We also visited for pastries to take away and they were beautiful.

We stayed across the street from Brikk during our 3 day stay in Reykjavik and visited 3 times! We did both dine-in and takeout. They have amazing croissants that the whole family loved. Their cinnamon rolls are also delicious. They also have good coffee (we have regular coffee and lattes). The staff was always friendly; this was our go-to breakfast spot in Reykjavik!

Excellent sandwiches, we had steak with mushrooms and onions, and the chicken tex mex. They came on amazing fresh bread and the pastries tasted as good as they looked too.

Started to close the place half an out before closing. We felt like being rushed out. Other than that the food was alright.

What a sandwich! Delicious sourdough , fresh ingredients. Huge sandwich - we split it and were full. Had to end with sharing a brownie. A great breakfast/ lunch spot!

The ambience, coffee, and pastries were all incredible. However, the staff was extremely rude. When I asked one of the staff members about the vegan sandwich, she started to profusely laugh with her co-worker… we just stood there. All very strange and unprofessional. They also seemed very annoyed when we kindly asked them to re-warm our cold cold soup. I had to approach the counter more than 3 times to get my items and remind them about my coffee. Doesn’t seem like they really cared about their customers unfortunately (or they dislike Americans).
