We came to Deig 3 times on our break to Iceland as the bagels were so delicious and unlike the rest of Reykjavík were reasonably priced. Well not cheap but nothing like some of the other places we visited. We both ate in and got bagels to take on our road trip, the Parmasan Bagels were our favourite! Would definitely recommend a visit!

'Open when we have something. Closed when we don't'. Everything on sale at this bakery near Reykjavik's Old Harbour is baked fresh daily. I had a mouthwatering vanilla bagel, but they have a great rage of bakes and pastries and excellent coffee (annd other drinks too). They have a comfortable ad stylish cafe area where you can sit and eat/drink and gaze out on the harbour. Highly recommended.

A small spot inside the lobby of a hotel that serves coffee, other beverages, donuts, and bagels. We ordered several donuts. Most were very delicious, the brownie one was a little different than what we expected but was still good. A great place to grab a pastry and coffee before heading out to explore.

The website for the place is not Deig, it is Le Kock (so search that name) which to my traveling companions, was hilarious. It’s a bar, restaurant and a bakery, all in the same location, with Deig being one of them. The doughnuts were good. We ordered some to go and some as a snack as our breakfast sandwiches were prepared. Loved the sandwiches on fresh baked bagels. These bagels are not crispy on top, but they are chewy like a bagel. I loved the veggie bagel on a pretzel bagel, as you choose the bagel for your sandwich. I’m neither a vegetarian (sandwich) or a vegan (bagel) and I loved all of it. Had it twice and I took us 20 min to get there walking so getting there was by design. They have many tables and nice windows for enjoyment. It takes a while for them to make your sandwich, so order a doughnut to eat while you wait.

This place is great. Excellent bagels, and expertly constructed bagel sandwiches, for a quick breakfast or lunch. But the Donuts are spectacular. I can say, as a donut aficionado, that the Milk Caramel filled donut here might be the best filled donut I've ever had. Great value as well. Yum.

Parmesan and chive cream cheese bagel was amazing. The weekday poor mans offer of a filled bagel, donut and a drink for 1500kr (around £16) is really reasonable for Reykjavik. We went in on a couple of mornings and got the deal to take with us when we went to the Perlan museum and a tour.

Was staying in Exeter but could not resist the pastries on display as we walked pass each during our stay. So on our last day before we caught our transfer decided to give them a try. I had a chive and cheese bagel followed by a custard doughnut. Bagel was toasted and very tasty, doughnut was large and loads of custard. Wished had tried earlier in our stay.

We stopped here for a quick breakfast before our whale watching excursion and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was great and the prices were fair. We wanted to go there again but ran out of time. The place next door Kock, owned by the same people, is also extremely delicious and a cute cozy atmosphere.

Start your day at Deig at least once when you are in Reykjavik - you'll be glad you did! We really enjoyed pretzel bagels and treated ourselves to a few freshly made doughnuts - high marks to the crème brûlée bun (prepped right in front of you!). Reasonably priced, quick and friendly service, this place really sets the right tone for a great day!

Fortunately for us, this lovely bakery is located within our hotels lobby. We enjoyed the fresh bagels twice on our trip, I had the pretzel bagel and my partner had a Parmesan and an everything bagel. All 3 of these were delicious. We also had a nutella donut, a chocolate donut and a lemon twist during our 2 visits, and again these were delicious. The queue is often quite long but it goes down quick as orders are placed and then you are given a ticket number and wait whilst they serve the next person. Even for our sit down meal in the hotel lobby (we had 1 takeaway and 1 sit in) the wait time was never more than 5 minutes. Although this bakery isn't necessarily in the most populous area of the city, I would more than recommend the 20 or so minute walk from the rainbow road.

Deig is a phenomenal spot for high quality donuts and breakfast sandwiches. The donuts are perfectly soft, airy, and flavorful with a lightly crisp outside. I also tried the Egg and Ham Bagel. The bagel was soft and savory and filled with a fluffy scrambled egg, meaty ham and sharp Cheddar. While in Reykjavik, please go out of your way to visit this house of deliciousness!

I am so glad we stopped at Deig! I had heard about the bagel sandwiches, but was pleasantly surprised by the donut selection as well. I consider myself a bit of a donut connoisseur and their creme brûlée donut is one of the best donuts I've ever had. They freshly torched it in front of us. Highly recommend stopping here for a casual, but delicious breakfast, lunch, or coffee.

4.5 stars. Excellent bagels (toasted with cream cheese or other spreads, yum) and doughnuts. Vegan options clearly marked. Nice seating area. Coffee was serve yourself from a carafe, so that was the only slight negative. They also sold ice coffee, so maybe there were other options I didn't see. But a great option for a quick breakfast or snack. Attached to Le Kock restaurant.

They have four different bagels - sesame seed, everything, pretzel and Parmesan. A wide variety of sandwiches and spreads. They toast the bagels perfectly. I don’t know how they do it but they aren’t rubbery or hard to chew. Just warm and lightly toasted. Yum

Our flight arrived very early in the morning, our hotel could not check us in until much later, so we decided to go exploring. We found this small donut/bagel spot inside the Excelsior Hotel, it was just what we needed after a long overnight flight. Pretzel Ham bagel was crisp on outside and soft inside, paired with a Creme Brule donut. Amazing! First meal/ snack in Iceland did not disappoint.
