This old bus station now turned in to around 10 individual foodie places, is just great, each of the units are uniquely individual and serve their own menus, everything from handmade pizza, Taco's, fish, Chinese street food, ice cream and much more, you just have a walk around, see what takes your fancy, order, they give you a pager, you can sit wherever you like, when your pager buzzes, go and get you food and eat, simple as that, each do their own selection of drinks & cocktails as well. We tried several places, the Pizza, was just brilliant and fresh, Taco's amazing. just remember, this is a take on street food, so no fine dining, just order, sit, collect and eat. well recommended
PS: look for happy hours in this place usually between 4-7, the prices will save you money

Really easy place to eat. Just arrived in Reykjavik and the kids were tired and worn out from the travels. Wandered in, grabbed a table and relaxed. The different restaurants made it interesting and a distraction for the tired children.
Ordering is easy, wander round and check out the menus then go for what you fancy. We had Mexican, Scandinavian and a salad… You get a buzzer from the restaurant and go collect you food when ready.
We finished off with cake.
I’ve not switched onto how much I’ve spent so can’t say if it was good value but it was perfect for a first post travel chill out and refuel.
The cakes were special!

We visited this place twice as it was very close to our hotel and really liked the vibe.
The seating is bar stools mainly are there are various bars and kitchen all serving different foods and drinks.
We tried a pizza which was great and a really good price and some tacos from the mexican kitchen which were lovely.
It has a busy, noisy atmosphere but we liked that.

It was horrible there... too crowded that you cannot hear yourself thinking. I went to Fjarhusid and I ordered lamb steak. It was too small for grown man and the things on the side wasn't cutting it either. The steak were just 7 small pieces or so. My friend there got hamburger and he was full. They glare at me the cook and who are serving the people. Very cold attitude towards me and my friend. I asked for a bag and couldn't even get to talk to them. They get pissed if you ask for extra sauce on anything It's horrible staff.

Four of us adults had delicious burgers and fries, one had the Icelandic lamb soup. Absolutely delicious - all of it. Beers to wash it down too. Very busy and be prepared to sit up on stools to high tables. Comfy and warm indoors.
There are several options to the type of food to order. Around are several counters cooking different foodstuffs.

We stayed at a hotel which is located right next to this place, and we visited at least 2 to 3 times as it is a great one stop shop for variety of food and drinks. There are a number of different food units serving the likes of Pizza, Burgers, Soups, Bahn Mi, Coffee, Cakes and also two bars in the middle. A great place to visit to try out a mix of food and a great vibe inside too.

My husband and I stopped here while staying in the city. We had read some great reviews and we agree completely! There were a lot of choices and the place was packed. It's clearly a great place to get a good meal. We ordered from a couple places so we could try different things (pizza, tacos, shrimp rolls). Definitely a must stop if you're in Reykjavik!

This is not a downmarket food hall like you might get in a shopping centre, but rather a group of top restaurant quality offerings for couples or groups with different tastes! I went for a traditional Icelandic lamb soup, and my wife had a lamb burger and fries from a different seller. I tasted both and they were wonderful, full of flavour, hot and filling. Like everywhere in Iceland, prices are more than you expect if you’re just used to the UK, Spain, USA, etc., but there’s no denying the quality you get. A lunch for two cost 6500 króna or about £38 without drinks. If you’re watching the pennies, just drink tap water. It is a revelation here as well when you realise the water from the cold tap comes from glacier runoff and is as pure as you’re ever going to get. I definitely recommend this place to everybody.

A fun option for dinner to suit all the family. It was busy when we arrived but a little bit of patience meant we found seats after a short wait. We ordered pizza, lamb pitta and a burger and the buzzer system worked well to alert you when your food was ready. Good atmosphere and good choice of food under one roof.

Amazing food hall.
Ate there 3 out of 5 days in my time on Iceland. The lamb was fantastic, as well was the “Kröst” restaurant and pizza. Former Michelin star chef also owns a restaurant there, so you know it’s a good spot.
Affordable prices in my opinion, but still not cheap.
They have limited but high quality choices, and they’ll deliver your food in under 15 minutes. They also have a great selection of Icelandic beers and other beverages.
Would recommend to get something from the “Michelin” or same lamb. Also get some gelato! It’s amazing! Just like in Italy.
Inventory is great, and there’s lots of places to sit, however it can be difficult to find a place in rush hour.
Great toilet facilities too.
And free water:)

We visited this spot 4 times in one week! We stayed at the lovely Center Hotel Midgardur and it was right across the street. We all tried the local beers, tacos, pizzas, lamb, seafood soup, pho, etc. It has a great vibe!

My husband and I had dinner twice at this original fast-food restaurant. The first time out of curiosity considering that it was very close to our hotel and that many young locals came here, the second time out of choice. It is a space managed so as to be able to offer various types of food, both Icelandic, Asian, burgers and even pizzas all freshly prepared.
Nice atmosphere due to the seating both at the counter and at the internal or external tables to share, with cheerful music in the background. It works like this: you order and pay and they deliver the cutlery wrapped in a paper napkin after which you are given a small device which, as soon as the food is ready, flashes and beeps so you go and collect it and sit wherever you want. We found it very interesting as a system: fast and without waiters.
There is even a corner with a good Italian ice cream shop.
I would have given 5 dots if I had found the places on which to place the plates clean both times instead of having to clean them as best I could of the remains of those who had them
ate before us.
For the rest the food is good but not cheap. After all, in Iceland we know that this is the case because a large part of the food is imported.

We had food from 3 stands - tacos, pizza and salad (from restaurant with bar). All were very good. Busy place - so snag a seat quickly. Each plate was excellent. We tried going back for lunch the next day but, although said opening hours was 10am nothing was open (people setting up to open at noon or after). There were other offerings such as gelato and Vietnamese food (pho).

We loved this food hall which is centrally located in the tourist area. If you're looking for a good, relatively inexpensive meal in a casual, contemporary setting, this will do it for you. We ate at Fuego for Mexican food, and it was very good. There are only 8 or 9 eateries there but the hall's smallness just added to the casual vibe. We really like it.

Great place to go for dinner or lunch. The atmosphere is super nice with a diversity of restaurants booth offering different kind of cuisine, italian, burgers, thai, mexican and so on...
Recommend to go there! Recommend the pizza from Flatey, the blue margharita at the mexican and the lamb burger from the traditional icelandic place!
