Restaurant staff are amazing and helpful we ate here twice during our visit to Iceland, prices here are good we paid around 38 GBP for burgers and drinks. Burgers are amazing best I have had, We like our burgers well done and that's exactly what we got. As I said staff are amazing felt like we had met good friend here. Just want to give the staff here big thanks for there hospitality during our visit.

We visited here one night and couldn't find a seat at the many tables so sat a the bar at Krost.
Service was a bit slow and certainly not very friendly.
Ladies ordered fish and it was excellent and gents ordered burgers, which were very nice although a little bit under cooked when we had asked for well done.
It is a popular spot and can understand why.

We had seen loads of great reviews about this place, and it didn't disappoint! I had the vegan burger, which was cooked incredibly, and my husband had the krosti burger which he really enjoyed. Lovely setting, it's like a food market as there are a few different eateries in one building. You can eat at the bar at your specific restaurant, or there are tables which means your group can get a variety of different foods and still eat together ♥️. Also, reasonably priced.

I was there around noon with 4 of my friends who got different food from other restaurants, although one of them ordered from Kröst but was there 5 minutes before me. He waited about 20 minutes which was all right considering ot was busy. To make a long story short I waited 35 minutes before I asked about my food and they said 2 minutes. After waiting for another 15 minutes, in total 50 minutes and the people in front of me and behind in line had gotten their food and finished I calmly asked for a refund because lunch was over and I had to go. I got the refund but no apology and I had to stop for fast food on the way to work because I was running late and very hangry. I understand that sometimes people make mistakes and forget orders but there are ways to handle that kind of situations and frankly Kröst...you failed.

We we directed to the small food hall by our hotel receptionist on our first night in Reykjavik pso wandered over for a quick bite. We picked Krost as the burgers looked great and we could see the food being prepared. I ordered the ribeye burgers and they were delicious - perfectly cooked medium rare for me, juicy and with a nice bun. The fries were a little too salty. The cheese plate was nice too. We enjoyed the food so much we returned on our last day and had the same again, with no salt on the fries!

Krost is in a small block of restaurants. There are no signs outside so you can easily miss it. Basically look for a black square building on a little island with the local orange buses stopping around it. Took us a few minuets to realise where it was. Food is excellent we had the cod and the pork belly. Really tasty and served quickly. There is a happy hour from 4pm-6pm beer is 800kr and wine 1100kr. I would advise you to have an early dinner as it gets busy later on. They also do a lunch menu as well which is similar to the dinner. This is on the east side of the city so idel if your in the strom hotel area.

This food hall can be quite busy and noisy even at these times, but if you don't mind that or manage to get a seat from a corner table, worth going. We had two fish dishes - both very good - and local beer and a gin tonic (my favorite gin, that cant even be found at the airport!). Very helpful waitress, waiting times were not long, not too expensive.

What a great evening! Many little eateries to choose from in this location where there are trestle tables but also spaces at the bar area of each outlet. Old and young mingle over different food types including tacos, pizza, steak and Japanese to name a few. You order from wherever you like and get a buzzer which goes off when your food is ready to collect. My partner and I chose Krost, sat at the bar and were not disappointed.
The staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful with the menu choices as my partner is gluten free and they checked each item in his chosen dish to confirm it was gluten free. The wine pairing was amazing, atmosphere very convivial and the food was absolutely outstanding!!
Highly recommend a visit here as it’s worth every krona whatever you choose!

I just picked up two take-away burger meals for me and my boyfriend for a very reasonable price.
We were both very impressed by the high quality of the perfectly grilled and very tasty burger meat, which was definitely the star of the show. The perfect amount of their tasty sauce, tomato, cheese and onion on a beautiful brioche bread made the burger just perfect. The fries were also amazing and worked very well with the burger. We finished every single bite and are feeling oh so full and very happy! Will definitely be back soon for more.

Absolutely loved this restaurant and I’m so upset we found it the day before leaving. The restaurant is located in a food market offering great quality food in a very relaxed environment. I had the cod which was delicious and my partner has the steak which was beautifully cooked. I’m dying to come back!

Visited based on reviews online and were not disappointed. We ordered the Krost Burger and Chicken with Parmesan Fries, both were perfectly seasoned and cooked. Food was very reasonably priced. The two bar tenders were extremely professional giving a first class service, the kitchen staff were friendly and service was quick despite them being busy all night. We sat at the bar and the atmosphere was really chilled and had a great vibe. Excellent selection of wines and spirits, gin and tonics were served as they should be, over ice and flavoured with lime. Beer was cold and crisp. Will be back!

During our trip to Iceland, we went to the Hlemmur Food Hall and the Borg29 food hall, and we've been to plenty in the US. Krost has topped any food hall food we've had, with presentation and flavors you'd expect from a fine dining establishment, all done in a tiny kitchen! We started out with the baked French cheese and honey and the Arancini balls, both of which were delicious. However, the true highlight of the meal were the mains. My husband had the cod, which was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth, and I had the burger. Hands down, the best burger I have had, and I've been to burger places run by James Beard winners - Krost's was on a different level. We will absolutely be back!

Well… one of my best restaurant experiences overall. And that was in Reykjavik.
In a non-luxury, warm and nice street place.
Classy menu, delicious arancini (just waiting for a Sicilian to confirm their high quality ^^), and awesome fish. I wasn't much a fish person before getting there, but hey you're gonna get some when in Iceland.
Was so good and well done that it inspired me, and I'm now ordering fish at coastal restaurants (hardly as great than that one though).
So as you're gonna spend the lot of money in food up there, better do it in a classy place - it's worth the price and frankly not too expensive, not more than elsewhere but so tasty!
Service is nice and comprehensive as well.
Defo a must go in central Reykjavik, shall you be tourist or living there :)

Trendy food hall with quite a few different choices of pop up restaurant including up market pizza, burgers, fish and also more fine dining options. Nice atmosphere and really friendly staff, also some great beers. We had the cod croquettes & fish chowder which were absolutely delicious, would especially recommend the chowder for fish lovers. Good location at the start of the downtown area.
