Excellent taverna - you’ll read a lot about getting there early to get a table. We actually wished we’d been a bit later so could have joined the jolly crowd outside being regaled with (lots) of complimentary rose. Lovely food, great setting and excellent value.

Having visited Mykonos 3 times and not actually making it to Kiki's we decided we would definitely visit this time. How we wished we had been on all the previous occasions too. What a great authentic/charming typically Greek taverna in an outstanding setting. As you...will read in all the other reviews, you do have to be prepared for it to be a little off the beaten track and to expect to wait for a table (depending upon what time you arrive - we got there at 12.10 and got a table as soon as it opened at 12.30). You will read that it has no electricity and the food is cooked in a wood oven - it was the most delicious, biggest and best price sea bass we had on the whole island. The salad starters (of which there are about 12) were beautiful. So hard to choose which ones because they are all fantastic, fresh and delicious. The ethos of this place works so well and is a great contrast to the slick top-end restaurants in the main town and the big hotels. We wanted to try a mixture of all types of restaurants this time and this definitely ticked the "authentic/rustic" taverna with a view to die for. This turned out to be our favourite restaurant so we are kicking ourselves for not visiting on all our previous stays. What's the worse that could happen? You have a little wait for a table (in the shade) but the lovely owner brings you free rose wine while you wait! What's not to like?!More

Greek taverna in the northern part of the island, relatively easy to reach by car. The restaurant is overlooking a beautiful bay and next to a nice beach. If you want to enjoy the tasteful and authentic Greek food, just be patient as the waiting...times to get in can take an hour. The queue is organized by the owner of the restaurant. He constantly remembers the order of the queue and is serving free Rose wine to all people waiting. Amazing atmosphere before you enter the restaurant! The food itself was nice and tasteful, grilled in the charcoal oven. The staff is friendly and paying a lot of attention to their guests. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere unforgettable!More

Not an easy place to get to, a 20 minute taxi ride, but well worth it. How do I start. You have to get there early, say 11:30 for a 12:30 lunch. First in, best dressed. NO RESERVATIONS. Once you start eating, you will understand...while there is a line of 50 people in a queue out side. Sometimes waiting well over an hour to get a table. While waiting, one of the waiters, will offer you glasses of rose, to keep you hydrated. The food was so good. Many different salads, but I had the Greek Salad with a slide plate of White Anchovies. OMG. My wife had one of their pasta salads and the Pork Chop. The chop was huge and the taste was succulent. There is another bonus of a small private beach, with pristine water, 20 meters down the small path.More

If you’re looking for a restaurant that’s off the beaten path with beautiful ocean views and homemade Greek Cuisine, look no further than Kiki’s Tavern. It was the best food that I had on my week long trip to Mykonos - and the competition wasn’t...even close. From the start, it was easy to tell just how great KiKi’s was going to be by the cue of people that came from far and wide for the experience. The owner handed everyone complimentary cups of rose wine during the wait, and after about 40 minutes, we were indulging upon Greek Salad with Feta, broiled prawns, and freshly grilled octopus that will knock your socks off with flavor. I would like to thank the owner’s wife for her explanation of how every homemade dish was made, and Arta (our waitress) for setting us up with the perfect table and offering pristine down-home customer service. Next time, I’ll bring the whole family. Thanks Again!!More

Had a great time at Kiki’s Tavern. Located in a small and beautiful beach called Agios Sostis, where there is only this local tavern with great view and amazing food. There as an 01 hour waiting for the table, but it was worth it! They...served us complimentary rose wine while waiting. The grilled calamari was delicious, as well as the fish. The salad bar is also great (a variety of diferent salads, where you can choose 02 options per plate). Higly recommend!More

Staying in a local hotel, and walked up and over the hill to Kikis. Met with the charismatic owner and joined the queue outside the entrance. Thought the wait would be longer, but only 45 minutes, and we were provided with cold refreshments. The meal...was excellent, as were the staff, but beware the portions were HUGE. Would recommend a visit to a beautiful part of the island, and we were glad of the 25 minute walk back to our hotelMore

Food is amazing!! We had a grilled calamari and I will dream about this fish for a while. The owner and staff are really nice! Be mindful of the fact that you might have to wait for 30 min to an hour. Therefore, come early...(around 12) for lunch if you do not want to wait long!More

Great food and very friendly service. Simple kitchen the grill outside and salad with 12 or more choices. Seatings are on terrace that looks out to the open sea. We came with friends from Australia to holiday here a few days and this was our...first choice to experience the simple and tasty cooking. Would totally recommend it.More

This was an incredible experience. From arriving and thinking we would walk in....NO. the greeting from Mr Vasili was amazing very casually asked if we wanted lunch we said yes. We got the last table for the opening sitting. We were then told to wait...as he recalled his memory as to who arrived first and was taken to a table. From that moment everyone was amazing as you'll see in my pucs. Definetly go there. You can't book. They operate between 12:30 and 6 as no electricity everything done on the grill. Good luck you'll love.More

Kiki’s is the type of place that you don’t want to share because it is so great, but you want to stay in business so it will be there for your next visit. The food is out of this world! I fell in love with...the octopus and black rice salad with chili’s. We also had the potato salad, carrot and pineapple salad, white bean salad as well as the marinated anchovies. Everything was very fresh and delicious! There isn’t a bad table in the whole place. The wait was 90 minutes on a Friday afternoon. Everyone waits regardless of who you are - it’s part of the charm. We played cards and drank wine as we waited while enjoying the beautiful water views. Highly recommend! *** It is a 15ish minute drive from town. You can get a Uber. Thankfully a local driver got us there and offered to pick us up. We paid 45 euro each way - Uber was quoting the same price.More

Loved this place! Very lovely, simple setting away from the boujie pretentious things to do. The beach is beautiful at the bottom too. Actually had the best seabass there out of all the places we visited. The owner was really nice, free wine and water...whilst you wait and really friendly. Such a cute little place with an unspoiled beach.More

overrated, food is mediocre and not worth queuing TWO hours for, even if wine was served. Only stayed because my friend really wanted us to, you could get the same quality food at any other taverna, and menu isn’t big either.

This tucked away tavern is the perfect spot to rest in Mykonos. The owner greets you at the door and immediately makes you feel at home. The view is stunning so you don’t mind the wait. The inside is like eating inside of a treehouse....The servers are outstanding and the food is delicious. Definitely make sure to get a sample from the salad bar. We had half the chicken curry pasta salad and half the lentil salad and both were divine. Overall it was a wonderful experience. I hope we can go back one day.More
