Couple stopped past for coffee, hot tea and apple pie. Service was great. Rooftop area was good. Quite relaxing. I’d go here again.

Walking around in the area we stopped for a drink and shared a piece of apple pie. Nice and clean. Friendly. The pie was delicious. Super little place.
Really enjoyed the Illy coffee and banoffee dessert here that we had on the roof terrace overlooking the Acropolis. Great service and abs a really. I’ve place your have a coffee after walking for hours.
The café is really nice, its pretty, and all of the menu items (at least the ones I tried) were really good, especially the white hot chocolate.
First night invited in for happy hour, 4 drinks 6 Euro. Second night same time ushered in again same 4 drinks 16 Euro. Could not make eye contact with us again ... he didn't know we were staying locally and for more than a couple...of days!More
Hi! You must be referring to someplace else. At Cafe Plaka we are very mindful of the quality of the products served to our customers, we never had “happy hour” and never will. We would appreciate to correct your review as it is misleading. I...More
Many years back the Plaka district of Athens was the area, where we mainly used to hang around. Things changed quite a bit afterwards and it became a part of town, which we preferred to avoid. On a recent stroll through this still attractive district,...we went for a break to the Café 'Plaka', where I had been to before. The upper terrace of this place was fully occupied, so we sat downstairs and indoors, where we had to show our Covid-certificate. Nobody was there and we could sit by an open window. The waiter, who took care of us, was friendly and professional. On the tables were real potted plants. My wife had an 'Ice Coffee' as mentioned in the menu card (in Greece usually known as 'Frappé) with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in it, while I went for a plain 'Ice Caffee' plus an 'Apple Pie Waffle'. As advertized they serve Illy coffee. With the coffees came some very old glasses full of water and ice cubes, and not a caraffe as elsewhere. Quality of coffee and also of the dessert were excellent. The Apple Pie came half warm on a waffle with butterscotch sauce and cinnamon plus a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.More
I just stumbled upon this cafe place and the first thing I noticed was the sooting music. The stuff is very friendly. There is also a roof garden which is great. It's a must visit place in Plaka.
Enjoyed very much the time spent here. The waffles and the hot chocolate are amazing. And the fire place is a very nice touch.
We were in passage and we saw this lovely cafe bar. We decided to take a drink. The bar was full but we were lucky to get a place. Coffee was delicious.
Very cool place with nice people. Fast service. You must try their sweets! A good choice for coffee at plaka.
I had the salmon club sandwich which was freshly toasted and tasty with fresh iceberg lettuce and balsamic glaze accompany. I topped it off with a Banoffee pie which was delicious. The cafe is a classic little laneway side building that is quaint and comfy....Service was accommodating. Deadly stairs down to the ammenities.More
Went out of our way to visit based on reviews, as children wanted a waffle brunch. Not sure what was going on with the owners / staff, but pretty grim service, and long wait, even by Athens standards - maybe it is the stairs? The...rooftop is a nice location. The food is presented beautifully, but a little heavy,. Coffee was dreadfull.More
Great place to stop in Plaka, nice cafe with fantastic service. Really good coffee and outstanding crepes & waffles - ooh so goooood!. Nice place to sit and people watch in the middle of plaka.
Stumbled across this cafe and have used it twice. Once for just coffee and second a light snack for lunch. The two young owners were ever so friendly.
The apple pie waffle is excellent and combined with ice cream is fantastic! the downside is that if you go after 9pm for a coffe (they have ILLY signs all over the place) they do not sell coffee because the cleaning of the machine takes...place at that time - still they close at midnight.More
