Simple, but so delicious food! Chicken grilled in front of your eyes, fresh and Oh so delicious! Lovely salad on the side and freshly made mountain of french fries! Such nice staff, the owners were seen doing their work, had a small conversation, found out...that the owners are 85 (husband) and 80 (wife) years old and still actively participating in the business! Superb little eatery! We devoured some delicious grilled chicken and a salad as well as a few (!) bottles of Sagres. Proper Portuguese food in a truly authentic setting. Stumble thru in Portenglish and enjoy. The lady of the house, Edith, is an absolute sweetheart.

Don't expect frills or an extensive menu, this is all about authentic and simple food. We had a choice of sausage, chicken and sardines. We went for chicken and sardines and both were exceptional. This is traditional Portuguese food cooked in front of you by...the owners. We had a selection of 3 desserts which changed daily. Yes, the location is really unique and exactly as it was 100 years ago ! Marble tables, and a beautiful exposition of old bottles ! But, to be honest, the menu is very short and the quality just sufficient. And yes, the owners are extremely...pleasant and willing to help with a little of English and French. So, go there for a glass of good wine and a dish of grilled sardines, or chicken. And enjoy the beautiful environment !More

Had lunch here as nothing else available in the town. We were the only two at the restaurant for lunch and service was as you would expect. Limited choices for a small lunch so we shared a main pork dish with salad no wine by...the glass 😩 Pork was dry and fatty salad was basic. Would not recommendMore

We found this place while walking around and immediately decided that this is where we'd like to have dinner. It seems to be a family run place with the happiest people running the show. We were ushered in by a lovely woman and she took...us to the kitchen to show us what was on offer. She speaks a little English but we pretty much just went with our gut and ordered whatever looked tasty (read: all of it). The food was so hearty and wholesome and the family even shared some honey liquor with us after. If I was staying in sines longer I'd definitely go again :) Go just to experience some budget friendly delicious food and real local hospitality :)More
