I ate here whilst waiting to join a nearby boat trip. Laid back atmosphere and seating right by the canal. Lovely fizz for only 4 EUR a glass and delicious pizza and bar finger food.

We stopped by Wester whilst waiting for a boat cruise and received good service from the staff, along with really nice coffees and good food. Nothing particularly crazy on the menu but everything we saw looked really good, and the food we had (chicken sandwich...More

We are grateful for this cafe for allowing us to spend a couple of hours on their picnic tables. The cobblestone streets were damn near impossible to negotiate with a wheelchair! We were able to try the local bitter balls (they had meat in addition...More

Lovely bar with nice music, ambiente and service. We had good beer and enjoyed watching the barkeepers having fun doing their job. If I ever return to Amsterdam, I will definitely return to this bar.

We stopped in to the Wester for drinks and snacks. The cafe is beautiful and cozy, and our window seat gave a great view of the sidewalks running along the canals. Bitterballs were good. What kept the rating from being hire was the poor service....More

I ordered a double Grey Goose vodka sitting outside by the canal. Just happened to be walking past the bar and saw the barman pouring a large double Eristoff - cheap vodka. Stood by the side to see if it was on my round of...More

Stopped to sit by the canal, and order some drinks, waited 15 minutes after ordering while seeing everyone around us being served (most who arrived or ordered after us), and decided to just walk away. Plenty of other small pubs in the area with better...More

Great cafe just by the canal making it ideal for people/boat watching. Very friendly staff and a nice range of bottled and on tap beers. It has a pretty limited menu but the items on it are delicious.

Easy place for a quick lunch, snack or coffee. Friendly staff. Good sandwiches and dessert. Right in the middle of the Jordaan area.

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.

Their specialty is crepes or Dutch pancakes. I think it's very likely you could eat here without a problem. Just let them know about you allergy when you arrive. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I'd hate for you... More
