This was supposed to be the meeting place for a canal cruise. We got there early and sat inside the small cafe for a coke & coffee. Then sat outside for a while. Since we had some time we wandered around a bit then came...More

This was the meeting place for our canal tour with Those Dam Boat Guys. We decided to eat breakfast before the tour, and had some of the best eggs ever. Very nice service. Canalside tables. We also ate lunch here another day and had fantastic...More

Nice little selection of beers and wines in a cute out-of-the way part of town. Unlike most cates, Westers has tables right on the canal creating an even better environment.

We stopped here for a quick rest and refreshment after our canal boat tour. My friend suggested we have the Apple Pie which I probably wouldn't have chosen without his suggestion. I'm so pleased he did! It was the most delicious Apple Pie I've ever...More

Came across this place while strolling around the canals after visiting Anne Frank House. The place is situated on the canal with the bar inside, with tables along the canal as well as inside. As the outside tables were full, we occupied a table inside....More

This was our meeting place for our canal cruise, so we decided to have lunch here. It wasn’t totally clear at first where to order, but we finally figured it out. There was a waitress serving. Sandwiches were good, nothing special to call out. Beer...More

We stopped here for a quick bite while waiting to see the Anne Frank house. We had the assorted Dutch pub bites, with bitterballen, spicy croquettes, cheese sticks and so forth, plus a pear juice and water. Just hat we wanted. All were very tasty....More

We stopped here for a bite to eat before our boat tour. Great service with a smile and quality food. Also great for a tea and cake in the afternoon if you just need a quick rest stop on your travels.

I ate here whilst waiting to join a nearby boat trip. Laid back atmosphere and seating right by the canal. Lovely fizz for only 4 EUR a glass and delicious pizza and bar finger food.

We stopped by Wester whilst waiting for a boat cruise and received good service from the staff, along with really nice coffees and good food. Nothing particularly crazy on the menu but everything we saw looked really good, and the food we had (chicken sandwich...More

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.

Their specialty is crepes or Dutch pancakes. I think it's very likely you could eat here without a problem. Just let them know about you allergy when you arrive. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I'd hate for you... More
